Penalizing bus lane violators

Do you get frustrated when you see people flying past you inside the exclusive bus lane?

You might be happy to know that the MMDA are working on increasing the penalties, to act as a stronger deterrent against misuse of the exclusive EDSA bus lane.

These buses are able to move hundreds of thousands of commuters, while only occupying a single lane of the highway. This has proven to be an extremely effective public transport project, which could potentially lower the volume of private vehicles on the road, due to the buses being seen as a more convenient and faster way to travel.

For the best results, there must also be improvements in interconnectivitiy and "last mile" challenges.

The new bus lane penalties will increase in severity for repeat violators, including seminars, suspension and eventually revocation of drivers license. While someone has posted the first page of the memo, in the comment section of my Facebook page, I'm not sure whether it's actually been signed and released yet. I'm hesitant to go into too much detail until it has been officially released.

Dpat yung mga tinatago yung plate revoke license agad. There's NO valid reason for them to hide it. They are probably hiding it dahil gagawa ng krimen, para hindi ma identify pag may violation (para hindi kita sa dashcam) and most probably, para iwas coding violation.

It's good that MMDA is now formulating the increase in penalty for bus lane violators. Cheers.

7:24 The bus lane can also be treated same as a railway. Only difference is its via 4 wheels. The railways are also empty most of the time but that's because every couple mins there are trains passing thru the lane. Kudos to the enforcement of MMDA, even though there will always be ignorant people, atleast day by day, violators can or maybe lessened.

This is why this country is also suffering. A little discipline will not hurt. Thank you to all the drivers who are tempted to use the bus lane but never use it.

it's satisfying you caught and apprehended these violators but as days past, it's really annoying for real, especially that rider that was caught 2 day in a row and violates on the third day, what a nerve!!!
  • There should be Higher penalties to those who hide their plates. Some of them might be planning something illegal aside from avoiding coding.
  • Mattigas tlaga ulo ng mga busway violator dapat taasan na ang penalty kung repeat violator dapat license confiscation then seminar para madala good work MMDA.

Wow! It sometimes astounds me how people without driver's licenses have the courage to drive in EDSA. EDSA!
  • Continue doing what is right. Thanks for your vlogs! Very informative. Great job MMDA!

At this point, I think it's a mental state and societal problem that this level of opportunism is "the norm". Literal savages

More power to our MMDA Traffic Enforcers! Thank you for your service
  • In Japan there’s no revocation if you caught three times in any kind of traffic violation. They’ll suspended your drivers license for one month or you attend traffic rules and regulations.
  • I appreciate the posts. It keeps both the Enforcers and Motorists on their toes. 👍👍👍

Living in the province persons riding without lights are a HUGE menace !! Motorcycles , tricycles and even pedi cabs ride the middle of the ( often narrow ) roads ,carrying passengers including kids heading out to school without the slightest glimmer of a light . Bear in mind also that once out of the small towns the darkness is intense with no ambient background illumination. It scare the sh*t out of me .

Your video was exactly what I was searching for. Also, even though it was very technical, you made it fun and informational. Thank you!

hope you guys can visit Quirino Highway, from Baesa Area going to Novaliches.. Counter Flow there is a normal thing, and nobody seems to care, not 1 enforcer can be seen, there's some enforcers near the Novaliches Bayan Area at the end, but they just seem to only care about getting bribes for ex tra income, and not really enforcing anything.
