  • Maddie with the important questions. She should definitely be on more of your videos. Always dope to hear from her
  • @Nonchalant321
Damn its tough seeing Matt so down recently. Hopefully he gets healed up and it only makes him stronger. Pulling for you Matt!
  • @lawbinson
I always like these ones with you and Maddie. Your personalities are so perfect for each other.
  • I've been watching your videos for i don't even know how long now, I've never commented on anything before, but I honestly think this series has shown a much more relaxed, natural side of yourself and I love seeing that more real person vibe idk just a thought. Hope all the back stuff goes smoothly!!
  • @ryanjoens9081
We love ya Matt. You can definitely tell that you aren’t yourself in the videos and as someone with back pain I can understand why. Keep grinding brotha
  • Granted at 54 years old I've got 30 years on you in age, but I'm 100% with you on the back pain. It's hard to take ego out of the equation and not hit the big stick. But I enjoy watching your game most of all. Not just using your physical skills but using your mental abilities to rethink your style of play. Praying that your next Dr visit will go well and that you stick with your therapy routine.
  • We appreciate you Matt. And you can’t make everyone happy. Put the mic wherever it feels most comfortable for you. I felt I could hear you really well with it on your hat while you were playing Colin. Hope the back starts feeling a little better. Always nice to see Maddie on the channel with you. Best wishes to the both of you.
  • @OncleJer
So happy to see you posting so much lately Matt. Thanks for the awesome content and keep it up brother, lots of love
  • For what it’s worth, very few recreational golfers could play as well as you did in this video…..especially with extreme pain. I understand that you have a desire to play at a professional level and you should continue to strive for that for as long as it is important to you. That said, you are playing a lot of golf and earning a living doing so and making these videos is for the entertainment of the viewers. We viewers are far more interested in your personality, charisma and entertainment value than we are in your final score. So enjoy your day. You’re in a beautiful place, surrounded by birds and nature and sharing time with the love of your life. You are blessed man. Loved the video and sincerely appreciate the entertainment that you and your Good Good buddies bring to us each week. Keep tapping them in.
  • Congrats on the new crib brother.. hope your feeling well.. heads up and keep striving forward
  • I was dying when Maddie didn’t film the ball catch the slot and you hit her with the “oh great so you’re just filmin the grass huh having a good time😂😂”
  • As a fellow back-problem sufferer, I know exactly what you're going through Matt. I've been forced to stay away from golf for 11 years, still waiting to get into surgery and, following that, hopefully getting back onto the golf course to swing a club or two again, because I miss it like crap. Stay positive man and take care. Best of luck.
  • Brother I’m 23 and had back surgery on my back when I was 16. I ended up herniating my disc on my L5S1 nerve during one of my baseball games. The excruciating pain would go from my left buttocks all the way down to my foot. I couldn’t stand up straight I was miserable. But after surgery and rigorous physical therapy for about a year it helped me get back on the field and play baseball again. I have to do stretches every day but after I knock them out I feel much better. My back will tighten from time to time but I will personally say surgery was worth it. I’ve also been playing golf the past 4 years and my back has held up. Good luck with your decision in the future I wish you nothing but the best🤞

Matt, I refer to you all the time for my son who is just starting out. Your advice about keeping your ego out of the round helps so much in keeping him from reacting badly to poor shots and taking the smarter approach to the game - Can't hit driver today, put it away and hit the 3 wood or 7 wood. Have you ever considered the single plane swing? I have a bad back and since I transitioned to it I very rarely have any issues. It takes a lot of the torque out of the golf swing and, when done correctly, should not lose distance. Todd Graves has a great youtube channel with a lot of good info on it.
  • @seanprock47
matt, you have always been my favorite player and one i try to mimic the swing of. My back is just like yours with terrible mobility/pain constantly.....after watching your series about this, I've been playing to hit "comfortable" shots and not "going for it" shots and my game has gotten waaaaay better. keeeeep it up my guy.

  • @islanderdraws
Great to see your process and how you grind through it all. Congrats on the new digs... Stay blessed Matt! 🙏
  • Love how you’re really serious about getting better! Rooting for you Matt!

Hey Matt, I'm in my late 30s and have had pretty crippling back pain from getting rear ended when I was 17. My two biggest pieces of advice from my personal experience would be: 1: Get a red light therapy belt. This thing has worked wonders for inflammation and I basically just live in the thing on days where maybe I did something stupid the day before 2: Planking. It is one of the easiest, but also most effective ways to work all of your core muscles. I started by getting my baseline and then adding 10 seconds per session until I hit 5 minutes. From there I would try to do two five minute planks 5 days a week. Good luck! We are rooting for you
