Model steam locomotive injector hot water test

The injector regulation gap has been increased to the point where it will work with very hot feed water. The down side of doing this is that the injector will then have a gap that's too big for more usual operating temperatures.
The result of that is the injector will drop out at a higher pressure than you would normally expect, and regulation using the water valve in the cab will need to be done.
I've set this up at the extreme, there's no reason why it can't be set to work with more sensible temperatures. Perhaps on a tank locomotive one injector could be set to a higher temperature, just in case the water gets really hot.
