I just want to go back to the moment when I heard “HIT ME” for the first time and that beat dropped in.

I feel like Thundercat doesn't get the recongnitions he deserves for this album.
  • “LOOK BOTH WAYS BEFORE YOU CROSS MY MIND” while the song goes from one earbud to the other. This attention to detail in production is mind blowing!

Some say Nas is a goat just off Illmatic alone. So by that logic, i think if K-Dot released this at around the same time and had the same fate as 2PAC, this album would be considered among the greatest of all time across all genres.

Guess everyone is here after J Cole’s failed attempt to convince us this masterpiece was boring?

That "To Pimp A Butterfly" echo in the beginning still gives me chills. Best album of all time.

Fun fact: The First name Kendrick thought for "To Pimp a Butterfly (TPAB)" Was "2 Pimp a Caterpillar (2PAC)"

Crazy unfair how people are flaming Kendrick for not commenting on the recent events. Not only does he not have a social media presence anyway but he has already commented powerfully in detail in 2015 in nearly every song. Just listen to the album again. It's sad that he wouldn't need to update nearly any of the words for the current time.

I wish he woulda kept the funk thing going. Production on this whole album is amazing because of those thundacat prod. credits.

this album is now relevant more than ever. may god save us all.
  • Here to spin this album again after Cole called it boring lmao. Beautiful piece of art.
  • @blind6144
Cole couldn't sleep for two nights and all he could hear was HIT ME playing on loop in his mind
  • @darth2312
One of the greatest intros to an album. Straight classic.
  • @TheGardiner
A bald man in a yellow flannel told me to come here
  • @manafish8732
i know everyone's saying it but it's legit fucking crazy to call this album boring, it's AGRRESSIVLEY interesting. so many details and ideas flying at you constantly

Just noticed that the part where George Clinton says "Cross my mind" ( 4:23 ), when he says that, the audio goes from the left ear to the right, literally, crossing your mind. Thats just, incredible. Certainly i don't think i can live on without listening to this song twice a day.
