I still remember how Söderling absolutely destroyed Ferrer on clay in his last match, so much firepower.

The EB virus was also devastating for me at the age of 21. It almost killed me, and then left me the same type of joint and fatigue as the immune system turned against my body. As a christian, idedicated many years of my life to helping people live a healthy lifestyle mentally, physically and spiritually.
  • Soderling you are a great player and nothing can ever change that. Your journey was just different and you were extremely courageous to have embraced it. Thank you for sharing it and for this video! Best wishes with your health and continued success ❤️

In my top 5 of best players to never win a grand slam. Genuinely felt he was going to win one between 2011 - 2013. He was finally starting to gain consistent aggression similar to Del Potro at his best but more dangerous on the backhand side. Such a sad ending to his career.

As a swede his carrer was just so tragic for us as a country

The win against Nadal in 2009 is worth a slam, he will always be remembered for that...

If I was a player I'll be running after Magnus Norman to coach me. He did wonders to Soderling AND Wawrinka. Soderling made 2 finals and Wawrinka won 3 titles with him.

He should have taken it very easy in his free time when he wasn't playing tennis. In other words, do like Djokovic and Nadal. His body collapsed from the stress/pressure.

Gracias por el montaje e info. Era un fenómeno. Lástima de enfermedad.

He beat Nadal and Federer in the FO -- which is huge back then! If only he did it in the same year! Two final loses suck!
  • One of the greatest players who had never won a slam. The biggest hitter I watched in real time. That man was serving cannons and the ball literally hit advertisement board behind the court and the left a hole on it.

I remembered his glory years a yesterday! The semi final against Gonzales was a must watch also

1:02 he straightens his T-shirt and the back of the shorts, but doesn’t tuck his hair behind his ears😂

The Sordeling tennis strings (black pack, white strings) are extremely good.
  • It is a sad story, but you have to keep your perspective...he still had a great career, accomplished much more than most pro tennis players will ever hope to, and now he seems to be healthier, happy and living a good life, and he's only 39 years old and certainly has a great life still ahead of him.

Sadly to know that he was not able to compete. I was wondering what happened to him, after reading this message from you and know he is ok but not able to see him play again. All the best, Soderling

Darn EB virus destroyed at least 5 years of my life, attacking the brain and the body. In sports and life you just need to be lucky, and take care of yourself in any way

His flat forehand was devastating against Nadal at the French Open. It really was a thang of beauty to watch.
