MySCS Story Jan 2024 | Coming to terms | My condition vs MySCS #spinalcordstimulator

Friends and Family greetings 🖖🏽 TrickyRicky here back with another video. On today, I find myself sitting on the fence, wondering if moving forward with getting a partial Spinal fusion will eleviate my disc slipping issue? Will I continue to reap the benefits of MySCS coverage? Or will a spinal fusion make matters worse?

If you have had a spinal fusion, I would love to hear from you. How was your experience? I have spoken with my surgeons office and I have an appointment in a few days. Hopefully it will bring me some news that will help me get back on the road to relief.

Hey, I've been fused twice. I just commented on your last video suggestion if you are considering it. I had fractured a vertebrae and had my first fusion in 2007. Just recently had cervical fusion in my neck. I could tell you the one in 2007 was a lot rougher than the neck. Something that helped me out majorly was having your recliner some sleeping, throwing your legs off of the bed and having to wait tug on the hardware will make you want to put your hand through the wall. I don't know anybody who goes through that surgery. You have to be a different person. It is medieval

It's a really hard decision to make, it's such a long road to recovery from what I've read. I hope whatever you decide that your treating doctors and surgeons are receptive to you and do what's in your best interest.

Back/Spinal fusion helpful hints. For my fusion I started this page on fb. It’s helped me and others go through. I keep adding more and more. Thursday I can’t add a lot more 😂

I love your content! I've had mine for a decade and I have degenerative lumbar issues so I have had to have it reprogrammed several times as my condition has worsened this is not really uncommon however if it's a structural issue that can be repaired you might want to give that serious consideration

Like you, I didn't want another surgery based on all that I've gone through medically as well as being wake during SCS surgery in 2012. I was made aware that I needed surgery this past November. I have a history of chronic pain, PTSD, procedures, trials, meds, surgeries and absolute fear of setbacks, recovery and feeling worse. I had many reservations but this past surgery was the easiest surgery I've ever endured. It was truly a blessing. Maybe this one is the one that will turn things completely around? I will be praying for the most skilled medical professionals, guidance and peace regarding whatever decision you and your wife make. You did nothing to deserve this. Sometimes we are given the most difficult paths to pioneer through so that we can open the gate for others to exit behind us because no one else was strong enough to do it. You are an inspiration to many who know you personally and those of us in the online world. You are not alone, friend. 🙏💪🏾

Just wanting to know what you decided. It’s a hard decision. With having the fusion first, it made the decision to get the scs kinda easier. The fusion stopped the slippages. The recovery sucks. It depends on what you have done. For me all I can go is up since my fusion starts in hip. The scary part is do you have to go back and get the top or bottom one done because that will be the stress point. We decided to go up and down because I would of been back in a year to have re done. I wish the scs fixed it to instead on cover bandage it. But 11 days and I’ll find out on my own. I’m hoping it’ll go smother. Sucks living in pain all the time. It dosnt hurt to go and get it all checked, except for the pain of paying 😂 Never know on the one time it doesn’t slip back in and could be worse. Unless you wear a brace to limit movement rotation all the time. I did that recovering for 6 months and what a pain in the buttt. Wishing you well and good thoughts to you. Stay safe 🤙

I would not think it would have a lot effect on your spinal cord stimulator because most likely your leads are up in your thoracic spine not where they'll be working unless I misunderstand your situation

You did nothing wrong. Maybe, this happen to you because of what you are doing now keeping people informed. There are probably people that are going through the same thing and you are 1 making them feel like they are not alone 2 you can help them get through and make decisions from you post and the comments everyone leaves you. I get adjustments about every 4-5 months. Mine is for my neck the battery is on my lower back leads go up to my neck. I have some lower back issues. No way as bad as yours. I am praying for you to get relief from all your pain.

It does say in the Bible that we will suffer when we follow Jesus Christ as out Savior and our afflictions will be many. Even with my SCS implant and pain meds l suffer everyday tremendously. But I look to the cross to see the suffering of Jesus Christ so my pain does not even come close to what our Savior did for his children. And one day we will stand before God pain free for eternity. So, l am praying for you brother that God puts the right doctors for you. I refuse any more surgeries and go to Chiropractor and acupunture for relief. Take care and God Bless.🙏
