Creating a paper filing system doesn't have to be complicated. In fact, if you want it to work for you then make it as easy as possible.

I like manilla folders because you can fold them inside out and reuse them. There's a lot of space to write labels on them.

Just make sure the labels make sense to you. And you can read your own handwriting!
