Watching this movie at home on VHS with the family. Turning around and looking at my brother with a funny look. End up fighting.... Those were the days. 😂

I watched this when I was 10 - did not dare look in a mirror for years - scariest movie imo

An interesting fact: Actor of Damien during his childhood was never told what the movie was about. During filming, he recalled being simply instructed to act in certain ways and knew nothing more about the film in which he was cast. He only learnt of it when he was a little older.

Who's here after watching the First Omen? Hopefully the new one has a new sequel. Never seen this movie.
  • This film scarred me for life lol I rewatch it every now and then to make sure I really did see a man impaled on a church yard and it's not just mandela effect 😂 Best horror thriller ever

I thought this movie was way scarier than The Exorcist. The music and the scenes where the nanny smiles before she hangs her self or when that woman throws the other woman out of the window. Chilling

"Fear not, little one, for I am here to protect thee".
  • Next to "To Kill a Mockingbird", I think this is Gregory Peck's best work...

The trailer for this movie is scarier than most other entire horror movies.

One of my favorite movies and in my opinion one of the best movies of all time, and directed by Richard Donner. Gregory Peck and Lee Remick are priceless and the practical effects are awesome and still hold up. Just watching the trailer still gives me goosebumps.

His real mother died after giving birth to him, his father isn’t around, he can make animals do what he wants, bad things happen to bad people... oh, this is Tom Riddle’s twin.

"The Omen" is a classic 1976 Psychological Horror Movie with R.I.P. (Gregory Peck), R.I.P. (Lee Remick), R.I.P. (David Warner) I have this on DVD. It's pretty creepy, cheesy, campy, corny & has great Special Effects. It's a favorite of mine in my library. I really love the trailer voice-over. It has some twists & turns. It's got some creepy moments. I need to watch this again. I love the music that was in this movie. Lots of suspense....

AMAZING FACTS: The film was initially titled The Antichrist and then The Birthmark. Damien was originally named Domlin, after an undisciplined six-year-old friend of director Richard Donner's son. Charlton Heston, William Holden, and Roy Scheider are rumored to have rejected the role of Ambassador Thorne. Gregory Peck's son committed suicide weeks before the movie was shot, which is why Peck accepted the role. The actor who played Damien had bright yellow hair that had to be dyed dark brown for the role. He was chosen for the part because he had violently assaulted director Donner during his audition. Lee Remick's screams in the baboon scene were real because they became far more violent than expected. The crew had to cancel a chartered flight. That original plane crashed the next day, killing all aboard. Mere weeks before filming, Peck and executive producer Neufeld were each on planes that were struck by lightning. The day after the baboon scene was filmed, the trainer who oversaw the scene was killed by a tiger and director Donner's hotel was bombed. Peck's stuntman was mauled by Rottweilers during the graveyard scene despite wearing protective clothing. Special effects director John Richardson did the decapitation scene. He and his assistant, Liz Moore, were soon after in a car accident. Moore was decapitated.
  • This movie didn't scare me as much as Salem's lot did or the Amityville horror for the Manitou but it's still right up there with one of the scariest movies I've seen
  • you can believe it or not. When I first watched this film on TV at 10 pm, there was a motorbike accident near my house and took down 3 people. and it was a scary night for me.
