Romania also has lots of terrified, very dangerous dogs Iโd be terrified to adopt, not knowing if Iโd be able to tame the dog before having my face ripped off. How to handle such cases? Would love to see the rest of this, though thereโs no way Iโd adopt a dog like this, Iโd be too scared. So, so sad that humans create such misery in animals.

I need to train my extremely fearful, reactive, and dog aggressive, 5 year old female GSD that I adopted 7 months ago, to a muzzle. I first started in the house, using the same type of muzzle. She will let me do anything to her, so putting it on was not a huge issue. Spent some time in the house with it on, and giving her treats. Once I took her outside she completely shut down. She plastered herself to the side of the house, laid down and looked at me with absolute terror in her eyes. I am assuming that she knows that as long as she has the muzzle on, outside where she's more vulnerable, that she knows that she can't defend herself. I would love your thoughts on this. Clearly, she still doesn't feel confident that I can protect her/us.
