  • Loved this video, especially watching the animals eat the foliage!🥰
  • I grew those sweet potatoes also. They seem to take longer are smaller and not as sweet. They are really great to use in beef stew with sweet potatoes instead of white potatoes. You can add cinnamon to this and it is quite lovely.
  • I hear you about the rain! I am so far behind on what I need to do around here because of it! We have so much mud now. 🙁 I did get a little encouragement about gardening here yesterday, I saw a tiny earthworm. It's a start.

Another diverse crop to add to Deep South. One with a lot of good health benefits going by the colour. I think it's flippin' impressive to get all those Sweet Potatoes from just 5 or so starts.

I love your videos and love every one of them. Just one little suggestion,. It would be very helpful if you would post or say what month and year it is. Our climate here is different than yours even though I live in the US and sometimes I review past videos. Keep up the good work. You have helped me so much.

Thanks for sharing ! I like the purple potatoes and if they compare to the white sweet potatoes then I probably like them. I had white sp pie once. oh boy, was it good!
  • @emsoft11
I found them problematic to store fresh. After 3 weeks now tubers are soft and they are going to rot. White and oranges are stil fine. Also I need to dig very deep to find all tubers to lift. Orange and white variety produce tubers all together

We grew some purples this year too - your harvest is better than ours, I think we got 5 decent sized potatoes from them. They grow weird. Instead of being in clump under the plant, they were all over the bed - invaded the space of our GA Jets. Our purple ones have been up for 6 weeks now and we are finding their slips all over the bed, we have to dig them up every other day. They grow from a tiny root, not a potato left behind. Slips have also appeared outside of our raised bed - 2-3 feet away. They are as invasive as bamboo, we won't grow them again for sure.
  • I'm starting slips and growing these. They're hard to find in the UK and expensive when you do. They're delicious and so healthy. Thanks for the info.
  • I don't think I have ever tasted purple sweet potatoes, but if they are like the white ones, I probably wouldn't care for them. Good video. Those potatoes sure did grow some extensive vines. Funny how you talked about feeding them to the cows, then showed the pigs eating them first.

The purple sweet potatoes looks nice I have never ate any but like to try love the red ones they are so good ,Thank you for sharing God Bless

I got a couple of purple sweet potatoes from whole foods for a buck or two. They produced a ridiculous amount of slips. I'm looking forward to trying them out. Have y'all tried eating the greens? I stopped growing spinach and just used those, they were so prolific and easy.
  • Same here Danny. Getting ready to put in my carrots. Too hot here in the summer for them.
  • @michellem5997
I would like to see how you set up your carrot beds. I'll be starting my carrots soon. Edited to say I just went through your play list & watched your last 3 carrot grow guides. I should have checked those first.
