As a french, I am really proud of our french team because they showed that they are not so far from the United States. The game was very close and came down to free throws. It's sad that we could have ended a 32 years of American dominance but lost by just 1 point. I hope we do better next time 🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷

France was the only TEAM I was ever really concerned about. Both TEAMs played poorly. Would have loved to see both teams playing at the Top of their GAME. Close games means drama but not necessarily Quality. But it's not easy playing on the Biggest Stage.

Dinosaur Taurasi’s value to the team was her leadership role and thus deserved her sixth gold medal? Taurasi was a DNP (did not play) in the gold medal game. And in the last five games, she was a starter and contributed a TOTAL of 4 points for the 5 games she played. Team USA needed a player that will contribute in winning the games. That is the roster for. It is not for leadership. Taurasi wasted a slot in the roster. That slot should have been given to Caitlin Clark who is the best point guard in the WNBA with the most number of assists and has average of 17 points per game and 7 rebounds per game.

This game was hard to watch. Both team built a brick house. France was just one floor taller.
