Train Meet At The Wye! Train Horn Salute, Caboose With Loud Whistle, Jersey Central DPU Working Hard

All of these trains are in Hamilton, Ohio on CSX and Norfolk Southern tracks. These trains are filmed at several locations including a new railroad crossing location that I have never been to.
The first trains are at the interchange where Norfolk Southern trains leave the CSX line to get on home tracks. We see a Norfolk Southern train take the tight curve right when another Norfolk Southern train is going in the opposite direction. Both trains are mixed freights and one has a DPU.
Then we see another Norfolk Southern mixed freight take the curve at the interchange. This train has a Norfolk Southern Heritage Unit shoving the rear. We also get a horn salute and wave from the crew! This was an awesome catch! Have you ever seen this NS Heritage Unit?
Next, we go to the water treatment plant to catch a local switching freight reversing toward the yard at New Miami. This train is very interesting. Notice that it has some brand new refrigerated boxcars and a GP40-2 for power. The best part is the caboose using the air as a whistle. That was pretty cool. This is a transfer caboose or platform caboose used for long reverse moves. It gives the crew a safe place to ride instead of on the side of a car.
Then as I was leaving Hamilton I found a railroad crossing on Bob Meyer Road that I have never been to. This is the southeastern edge of Hamilton. I stopped here for a minute to check out a swamp and noticed a park next to the tracks that I never knew was there. While I was there the line side signal went from red to yellow and then to green so I figured a train was coming. Sure enough another Norfolk Southern mixed freight with a DPU working hard. This was a lucky catch. Which train is your favorite and what did you think about the caboose? Don't forget the Heritage unit.
The video also has the Live Action Pets, the slide show from the video and Aubrey playing soccer near Xenia, Ohio. As you can see, she is doing a corner kick and put the ball right in front of the goal and a team mate put the ball in the goal. Aubreys team won this game by a goal.

First we had a caboose leading several brand new refrigerated box cars! If that wasn't awesome enough, we had a nice long mixed freight that included some coil steel cars among lots of others! It was fairly fast, too! Fabulous catches, JT. Simply fabulous! Thank you very much! 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤

Hey JT. Watching these trains is one of the few things we have left that is still all American. I’ve loved trains for 70 years. I was four years old when my dad bought me my first Lionel trains those were really something else.
