Personally, I like to think that the fictional director of the documentary was actually the killer all along. It seems like a thing he would do.

That moment when Cheryl is interviewed and she absentmindedly scratches her head and we see that she has no hands left really got me on a visceral level. It was so, so much worse than if the lack of her hands had been the focus of the scene. She’s sitting there crying about not knowing what to do without her torturer, even as she scratches her head with the stump where her hand should be. He has broken her on every level, and the enormity of it pierced through me to the bone.

Found films might actually be better if the perspective was from the villain
  • @TheRisky9
4Chan would have caught this guy in two weeks.
  • The tape when he comes to the mother of the girl he kidnapped and just giggles, while she slowly understands that it is him who took her child made my heart sink

When Cheryl reaches up to scratch her head revealing her missing arm remains the most chills I've ever had watching a horror movie. It's brutal.

Anyone that has ever worked retail knows that there are people that are just evil.
  • @ShoesB3tch
Cheryl's character was based on Colleen Stan, who was held captive by a married couple for 7 years and spent most of that time in a wooden coffin-sized box under their bed. F-ing harrowing.

The most disturbing part was the express vpn ad in the middle

This is why I could never understand how people could be more afraid of ghosts and supernatural movies. Real people do shit like this and it's scary because you have to trust to be around them and that they're not secretly planning your demise or something.
  • @Devin.R
The killer is definitely Gabe from The Office.
  • @OrochiFlamez
I saw this years ago but couldn't finish it. It's not a fun horror movie. This is a you will lose faith in humanity horror movie.

I remember last Halloween, me and a friend got drunk and they suggested we watch this. We were in the middle of it and freaking out when we heard a knock on the door. We both got paranoid, and she grabbed the shotgun while I answered the door. Anyways... we’d forgotten we’d ordered pizza.

This is sounding and looking a lot like Nope: The Motion Picture.
  • @Goblinhandler
It cost you nothing to not tell me this movie existed
