The fact that their final battle is the first time they ever meet is perfect, props to the writers
-
Aang showed mercy to his biggest enemy. Fire Lord couldn't even show mercy to his own son.
-
As the last remaining air bender, Aang defeating Ozai without betraying his people's beliefs proves that the Air Nomads' way still fits that world, there's place for their culture to flourish. Their values are not weak, they can still triumph

1:24 Imagine hearing legends about the Avatar, someone so powerful that all your predecesors were afraid of him, to you is just a legend, but one day he just appear out of nowhere
-
It’s sad but true, no kid’s cartoons will EVER go this hard anymore.
-
Aang's dream: Firelord has no pants Actual battle: Firelord ONLY has pants
-
This is one of the few shows where the ending battle was very fitting for each and every character. Literally everyone got to shine. And when the show finally ended, everyone got a deserving end to their chapters. Writing like this, made for both kids and adults, is super hard to find these days.

It’s 9:50 for me. Ozai actually realizing for the first time what true power looks like. Never stood a chance
-
“Children” cartoons just don’t go this hard anymore
-
This is not a cartoon, this is a life lesson
-
Meanwhile during this, some firebenders are out there having the time of their lives flying around with supercharged firepower
-
I love how its been years since this fight, and us Avatar fans still come around to enjoy now and then.
-
I love how the first episode of the series is titled “The boy in the iceberg” and the last episode is titled “Avatar Aang.” So much growth and development was displayed in this show
-
Does anyone else wish they could erase this entire show from their mind just so they can watch it and experience it for the first time again?
-
If Aang wasn’t against killing he could’ve finished him earlier in the fight with lightning. Didn’t even need the Avatar state but love the effects and ending
-
To me, the real thing starts at 10:42 Aang stops playing around or negotiating, you can see in his face that he doesn't see that as an option. He is so disappointed with Ozai he doesn't even look at his pathetic attemt to continue the fight. That silent block with a rock is so iconic to me. Easily the best part of the fight
-
Everybody gangsta until the tattoos start glowing.
-
Ozai has an addiction of fighting literal kids
-
The kids that grew up with this masterpiece of a show really got something special
