As a child at Christmastime I listened to the films with Cole Porter songs and I have never forgotten them. As an adult I realise the lyrics are so heartfelt they are genius.

His music got "under my skin." I never tire of his clever lyrics and totally original melodies. Some times I think I should have been alive in the thirties and forties.

Cole Porter is from Peru, Indiana. I am from Marion, Indiana...not too far. I will always be appreciative and proud to know that Cole Porter was from Indiana. He was a prime example of how creative genius was nurtured right in the middle of USA. Today's composers do not even compare. Thank you for all the great music, Mr Porter!!

Wonderful! I only wish that the performers were identified. I'm a big Cole Porter fan and this was a delight.
  • What a wonderful documentary about a glorious talent. Thanks for bringing it to YouTube.
  • Delightful, Delicious and Delovely....A wonderful tribute to a brilliantly talented song writer....Mr. Cole Porter. I first heard his music when I travelled on the ship, The France, which sailed from England to America. I was entranced then and have been ever since. I play his music whenever I sit at my piano. Such memorable songs.
  • I was introduced to Cole Porter as a small child decades ago-he truly was unforgettable and funny even to a child. I was in awe when I heard his music!
  • I was a paid piano performer at retirement homes several years ago. I would play all the music from the 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's. My favorite of Mr. Porter is I've Got You Under My Skin sung by Frankie Valee. I did not live during the times this music was written, my mother did. So, I was familiar with all of it.
  • this was great what an amazing songwriter such an incredible talent wow.
  • What a gifted Gentleman he was . Cole Porter 's music is still relevant today . I wanted to hear one of my favourites , 'So in love ', from 'Kiss Me Kate '.

The first time I heard of Cole Porter was when I was four or five years old. My mom bought an LP of "Cole Porter's Aladdin", and a caricature of Cole was drawn on the album cover. I loved every song on the album. I still have the record!
