  • She is guilty AF! She should not use a reality such as Domestic Violence to cover her crime. It's not fair to the real victims of domestic violence!
  • @mishie618
This poor girl. She must be going through absolute hell. Thank goodness this judge has common sense.
  • Its crazy to think the jurors are not going to see anything via media coverage. Its EVERYWHERE!
  • @NaturebyGus
To be fair the judge gave the witness very clear instructions. Why taking any risk by talking with the press or by posting on Tik Tok? Also, the reporter is partially guilty here by taking advantage of a very vulnerable witness.
  • Once the Jurors are questioned, the defendant tries hard to squeeze some "smiles" reflecting upon the "right" look she should pull off ! She is so manipulative and calculated.

Seriously, the state should pay for your lunches so they aren’t putting this position to go out and find their own lunch and be exposed to people talking about it when the trial is being streamed live. They’re in the community where a high profile case is being held it’s being extreme live on TV, of course they’re going to run in and be around people who start talking about it, not knowing who they are. You should not be putting in this position and situation.

There is no excuses. She is 23 years old. Old enough to know and she would have been informed about the procedures of taking the stand. This generation is clueless and how entitled is she? This is not just a murder case but one who is defaming her father and somehow the court has to take a break to talk about her conduct. Eva Benefield is a young woman who needs to wake up the people who like your videos are not your friends. Talking to strangers with microphones are there for their own interests not hers. This is not a tik tok post this is reality. This is not about how Eva Benefield feels it is about getting justice for her father. She is a crucial witness and at present she is working for the prosecution.
  • I thought John Pryor was the most annoying defense lawyer ever (there was another trial at the same time with another incredibly annoying loudmouth lawyer--can't recall right now) but this guy is ridiculous and rude and unprofessional. I love how the judge shuts him down and basically tells him to stfu
  • @pfv1247
Why don't the court just call up the news station and review the tape of the interview with Eva?

I have followed this awful case. The US law "system", in and out of the jury as they should not hear "certain things", some object can not be presented etc etc is scary, mildly said. I am SO glad i fall under Sweden´s jurisdiction!!!
  • @jenbabe1796
If I was that judge, I would taken full precautions to preserve this trial and would have dismissed that juror The court needs to supply meals to the Jury to avoid things like this. At no fault to that juror but it’s risky
  • I'm really trying here, especially because I was personally subjected to living with a severely abusive man who was married to my mother and would beat her like a rag doll, but this woman- Ashley - just doesn't convince me. She looks as fake as they come. Her fake victim look is so over the top. She comes across like Shanda Vander Ark. I just don't buy what she's trying to sell.

If you have NEVER been in a abusive relationship, you don’t really have a valid opinion! There is a honeymoon phase, then the abuse starts… honeymoon phase, etc. It’s very difficult to get out of this circle of abuse. One’s self-esteem hits the floor after significant time in the relationship. She definitely was abused, and was scared of him and what he would do to their daughter. He didn’t even care about the baby… he just wanted HER! Shooting a gun in the ceiling is abuse. Striking her in the face is abuse. Following her around is abuse… anything that frightens her and he deliberately acted on is abuse. Shame on his daughter for going on tik tok to disparage her, and that little six year old girl is her half-sister… whom she doesn’t care about.

This is the first time I am watching a trial on you-toube with so many hiccups. I'm afraid the victim will not get true justice by Ashley pro manipulative ways.
