This is helpful insight without being longwinded. Thank you.

Big thanks for making this video. I’ve been trying to learn the difference between the two for years.
  • I prefer the classics too, cause of the tongue and slightly chunkier design. I think this gives them more personality, where as the ogs compare more to your average white minimal sneaker.
  • I have the black Classics and bought them like over 8 years ago. They are till this day my favorite pair to wear. I love them even more because it seems I'm the only one in Australia with the classics. Everyone seems to be rockin the OG's. It seems they don't sell the Classics here? I really don't know but makes mine feel that much special seeing as I bought mine in Los Angeles where I'm from. I love the long tongue bit. Even my Aussie husband said they look better because of it. Ayeee

Nice. I've owned dozens of pairs of Sambas over the years . Knew some of the differences but not everything.

Great video, long time waiting for this detailed comparison.

Excellent video. I was concerned that my new Adidas were fake, because the tongue was completely different than pictures I was seeing online for the same shoe. Now I know there's two different versions. Appreciate the education.

It’s been a long time since I’ve worn both the Classics and OGs but I do like the added arch support insole on the Classics!

I really like the ribbed back tabs and tongue on the classics gives it a cool futuristic look

I own both. The Classics feel higher quality. Slightly thicker leather. Slightly thicker/harder compound rubber sole. The Classics have a little bit of a break in period but will outlast the OGs. The OG feel the most comfortable out of the box. Also the OG has softer rubber outsole so it will grip a little better. Strangely enough, IMO the OGs are better for indoor soccer due to the slightly thinner leather and sole, gripper rubber, and no break in period.

They've reduced the size of the tongue by 40% in their new batches. I just got mine today and the tongue doesn't stick out like a sore thumb like yours do. They actually look better than the Samba OGs now. I'm really happy with them.

to think that now a year and a half later people are trying to resell samba OG's for 200 bucks.
