Tremendous honesty. People need to understand this. They assume someone someone "hugely successful" like Jerry will be walking on sunshine.

I totally get what he says about not feeling well, some days, part of a day, I can relate.

His perspective on having kids really made me laugh and it's also great advice. You don't want your kids upbringing to be perfect, you want the right amount of struggle and for it to be the right amount of imperfect.

I personally admire Jerry even though I acknowledge he isn't everyone's cup of tea. He doesn't feel a responsibility to always be groveling in platitudes and thankfulness. He recoils at the idea he has reached his station because of luck...even though I am sure he realizes he got some breaks. He offers a product and you are either a buyer or not...if so.. great.. and if not he will happily move on down the road to the next thing. I like the fact he almost always speaks with honesty even if there is often a little contempt just under the surface. At least it's real.

Seinfeld still working at 70. Doesn’t need the money. Could spend more time playing pool or watching his kids. Interesting to get a glimpse of what still motivates him. Thanks, Graham.

  • Jerry-I think the term is dysthymia. (Kinda low level depression). Kudos to you for recognizing it and finding ways to get out of it.

Work can be a great escape from depression unless the work is depressing.

  • A few decades ago I had a boss who once or twice a year would speak to each employee and he would never give any of us a 100%. He would tell us nobody is perfect. Maybe he was right. He has since passed away, he was a wonderful boss. Thank you Mr. E 😊💖
