Last Summer ('22) I was blessed to go fishing in Kenai with my father who has dementia and Alzheimer's. It turned out to be perfect timing as his health has taken a turn and he would no longer be able to physically do that trip again. Fishing in Alaska was never on my bucket list but something changed in me that trip. Not only will I cherish the memories made there with my father, but I loved it so much that I was able to convince 3 buddies of mine to book a week-long trip for the Summer of '24. Watching this video didn't just make me miss Alaska, it made my heart ache for it. I can't wait to go back.
  • "500 S&W in my tackle bag. That's for anyone that misses a fish" lmfao great video guys, such high quality filming and editing makes for amazing production.
  • As a physician, a fly fisher and a pilot I can say Dr. Bob has absolutely nailed it! I can think of nothing better than flying a Beaver out to a beautiful lake and throwing a streamer for whatever will bite.

Your channel is one of my absolute favorites. You knock it out of the park, every single time. Storytelling is moving, cinematography is stellar, color grading is clean and crisp, and the people bring such life to each video. Please, keep it up.
  • No other youtube channel leaves me so sad that the video is over when it is, awesome work as usual!
  • That guide Bob, has got to be one of the nicest and coolest guides I've seen! What a gem to be able to go out with

Just got back from a week at All Alaska Outdoors with Dr. Bob and team. I was inspired by this video and booked our trip last November. It was even better than we imagined. The fishing, lodging, accommodations, scenery, local restaurants and the flying excursions were all over the top. By far, the best fly fishing trip we’ve ever experienced. Thanks Dr. Bob and the Wild Fly team for the inspiration.

Great job guys! You captured so much of why I go every June to All Alaska Outdoors.

Man, I miss Alaska. Lived up there for 12 years and it was the only place I truly felt at home. Maybe someday I'll go back and live the rest of my days there.
  • Thanks for all the love on the film so far! For those asking, the poem at the end is “The Spell of the Yukon” by Robert Service. Cheers!
  • Amazing film. You guys have inspired me more than I can say. From a kid who fly fished a little growing up in the Adirondack mountains now in NC. I’m moving out west and plan on living the dream on the rivers. Thanks for everything y’all do. I’ve learned a lot watching you over the years and can’t wait for next one. Tight lines
