Aston Villa - EASILY The Loudest Fans In The Premier League

Published 2024-05-15
We have travelled to every away game this season, analysing the away experience, and by far the loudest supporters of the season have been Aston Villa. Of course, the noise a crowd makes depends on a lot of in-game factors, but before the game, after it, when celebrating a goal -Villa were so so clear!

How else did it rate though? In this honest assessment, we review the experience and compare it to the rest of the Premier League - entering on to our league table, but where will it rank? To help us calculate this, we rate:

▪️ Car Parking
▪️ Pre-Match Away Pub
▪️ Walk to the Ground
▪️ The Wow Factor
▪️ View from your Seat
▪️ Pie and a Pint
▪️ The Noise
▪️ Value for Money

We'll do this for every other #PremierLeague club, so subscribe to see where the Villa chart come the end of the season!

Of course, the noise a crowd makes depends on a lot of in-game factors, but... 1) before the game 2) after the game 3) when celebrating a goal - Villa are SO clear! It's also worth noticing that the importance of a game will also be a significant factor. Would have we experienced such a noise at the start of the campaign when Champions League possibly wasn't in many Villa fans' minds? Possibly not. But we can only rate what has been in front of us this season.

As an Everton fan, Villa have always been class fans when they come to Goodison. Great support, and never any tragedy or poverty chanting unlike some. Id never have a second club, but if i had to choose one with a gun to my head, itd be Villa
  • @mudder5
34 years a villa fan and never once would i have thought i'd be subscribed to an AFC Bournemouth YouTube channel for the last few years.

30 years ago you could take your pick of pubs near the ground, unfortunately the new residents of Aston aren't really into alcohol so nearly all of the pubs have shut.
  • @OldWolflad
As a Wolves fan, must admit Villa fans are loud. Always liked Villa Park, a beautiful ground. Just a bloody nightmare to get to.

Thanks for that review boys and I think it's pretty fair of you to be honest. For the record, it's not just Villa and away fans who are annoyed at the Barton's Arms closing, it's the entire city. To think that Laurel and Hardy stayed there whilst on their UK tour in 1954, and given the Victorian building is still resplendent in many of its original fixtures and fittings, it's a sad loss for the city. Let's hope it reopens in another guise to provide all supporters with a base from which to start their match day journey. All the best. #UTV

im nearly a pensioner we used to sing it (hi ho aston villa ) at the villa when i was 16 .. fiest time ive been here ,good show nicely presented

As a Villa fan I'm really hoping that The Bartons Arms is open again by next season. Not only the best pub around Villa Park but I'd argue the best pub in Birmingham. There are very few pubs left around Aston now unfortunately.
  • Glad you enjoyed your trip to Villa Park. Next time you go please approach the ground from Aston Park walk past Aston Hall. The wow factor is a ten.
  • @realvilla
Enjoy your stuff as a Villan living in the SW, glad you enjoy VP. It is breathtaking on a sunny afternoon. We need to sort an away fan zone, it would generate much needed revenue! Fingers crossed Wes, Nassef and Chris Heck are reading the comments!🙏🏾😂 🤞🏾
  • @supervillan326
Seems like a very fair assessment. 👍 The away pub situation for those who drive and park is extremely poor since the Barton Arm’s closed. I’d not be happy either. Needs fixing before next season. This season, away fans who travel by train have been spending pre match in Birmingham City Center, before getting the train to Witton Station, (6 min), and walking to VP, (10 min), in time for kick off. Great fan channel lads, (one of the best for any club actually). Keep up the good work! 👏
  • @mossy78
There a very few pubs left in Aston & Witton area and why there is only now home pubs. Especially as home fans lost the Holte Suite to corporate tickets this season. Thanks for visiting my local, The Yenton 🍻
  • @markovilla1
Villa fan here - genuinely you guys do a really interesting vlog for genuine footy fans. Great stuff lads and thank you for the compliments. All the best for the Cherries and yes, it's not right that we don't have an away pub!!! We need to sort that out UTV
  • @deanrickett8810
Hi Guys really enjoy your videos, very impressed with the scoring you gave to us Villa fans, sorry about the lack of away pubs, might be something Villa can look into you could have a pub with a big car park and you could even call it "The Away End" again thanks for what you said about the fans singing to be pure perfection....this means alot, we are very proud of our Team, club and Stadium.... basically all things Villa, many thanks Dean
  • It doesn’t solve everyone’s problem but for years I have arrived early (11am for 3pm kick-off), parked and then jumped on the bus to the City Centre where I’d meet my mates in one of many excellent pubs (Wellington Arms is outstanding). Book a 6 seat taxi for 2.15 (couple of quid each) and be in our seats for kick-off. After the game 5 minute walk back to my (free) parking spot and on the M6 in 5-10 minutes.
  • @ralphsharp7986
Villa fan here, really enjoyed you're pre match preview of our game and the vlog. Thanks for the high rating we do pride ourselves on being loud!
  • @stylerific4267
That’s absolutely dreadful we didn’t give you a pub. Great video though lads UTV
  • 4th in all things. Absolutely here for it lads. Like @mudder5 I wouldn’t have imagined I’d enjoy subscribing to another teams podcast but you guys have something really special here. Good analysis, good banter, great production. Non judgemental atmosphere about all the different teams. Fantastic work. And you know what, I’ve been to Villa park a lot. I think your review is bang on. Chris heck knows there’s tonnes to do on infrastructure. We have plans to do a box park style walk up from a new and improved witton station in future, which will include a massive multimedia drinks and food hub for home and away fans. We will get it done. It’s just one step at a time. And yeh, you can’t beat us for noise. We are massive for atmosphere. The passion is real! Xx utv
  • Villa have had Jeff Becks Hi-Ho Silver Lining since the late 70’s, The Dog Heads (wolves) have only started playing it over the last ten years as West Brom use The liquidator the same as wolves used to use it.
