  • POV: you're the ghost but failed to frighten the students because they're already worried about not turning in their homework on time.

On a cold rainy night, My soul rests in harmony Forbidden to awake until it senses The ecstasy of the delightful music... Forever i hear the piano's spirit Caressing my ears with serenity Sleep precious child of the shadows And dream of wonders beyond this night....
  • Francesco Petrarca (better known in English as Petrarch) was a Medieval Italian poet and historian. One of his masterpieces is a letter to posterity, meditating upon the age in which he was living (the 14th Century) and expressing the hope that future generations would live in a better world. For some reason, this playlist allows me to get into his head, to feel what he did in that moment and form a direct connection with him, despite the gap of seven centuries that separates us. Thank you so much for allowing me to do that. :)

Its the music that puts you into another state of being, where your mind wanders to a different world.
  • I've listened to a LOT of ambient playlists over the years (4th year undergrad, hello) and this is genuinely one of my favorites!!
  • I dont know how to describe it, I know its a playlist for studying and it should be giving a spooky vibe, but it feels like a warm hug. Damn I needed this, thank you so much this playlist is wonderful
  • Why does this makes me feel like I'm falling in love with the ghost of that old mansion? ๐Ÿ–ค
  • I've always loved studying in the library. About 5 years ago there was a fire that destroyed it, but luckily they found no one inside, or worse. After a year the library was up again, but the cause of the fire was not yet understood. It is not even possible to formulate plausible hypotheses, since both librarians were there that day. It wasn't a big library, so it's understandable that it caught fire quickly. Anyway, one day I decided to go back to studying in the library. It had been a long time since I went back and a lot of changes had been made. The environment seemed much colder and darker. I went upstairs and looked for the usual table where I used to study. In its place was a glass case containing an old leather-bound book with strange symbols on the cover. A little further on I found a table and started studying. Hours passed, and without realizing it was midnight. That was weird, the last time I came, the time was scheduled to close at eight pm. I got up and went downstairs to check if Kate, the librarian, was still there. On her desk was her purse, her keys, her phone and a strange stick with the same symbols I had seen on the cover of the book. They will be symbols of the library, I thought, and Kate will be arranging some books. After all, during the reconstruction they had enlarged the building and I still had to explore it all. There were a few lanterns, quite distant from each other, to illuminate the environment with a faint light. I loved the atmosphere. I decided to stay until closing, even if I didn't know the time. Kate, before closing, would check if anyone was inside, right? I went back upstairs to study, but as soon as I got to the top of the stairs I got a severe headache. I decided to rest for a moment. I sat down, resting my head on the table, and closed my eyes. A gust of cold air took me full and I stood up, confused. I saw no windows or doors, no possible source of that current of air. I was starting to want to leave that place, after all it was very late. But as I approached the stairs a white shadow appeared in front of me. I held back a muffled cry and fell to the ground. Like a fool, I curled up, hoping it was just a hallucination from exhaustion. When I tried to get up, hoping to be able to run away, I saw that figure again. Looking at her better she had a human form, her face had feminine features, but from the waist down it dissolved, in ... smoke? Dust? Light? I didn't understand. The ghost girl pointed to the chair where I was sitting just before her and made a book appear out of nowhere, made of the same material she was made of, identical to my history book. Did you want to study with me? Did you want me to read you a paragraph of what I was studying? Unsure, I sat down, and she came close to me, floating. She pointed to paragraph 3 and I started reading it. Dozens of other ghosts appeared from the shelves, and they all began to listen. I was very nervous, but I read the paragraph to the end. They seemed interested in the image of the city on fire ... flames ... ghosts ... I'm studying in the bookstore. I turned to them and called Kate. The ghost girl I had first seen approached me again. I recognized her. But who were all the other ghosts ... none had died in the fire, apart from Kate evidently. And if she was dead, who was the girl I had seen at the entrance that afternoon, when I arrived at the library ...? I will continue the story when I have time, now I have to go to study history. And remember... I'm still alive...

Perfect. I don't understand how you have so few subscribers. I want a lot of people to see this, because it's wonderful. I apologize if there are grammatical errors here, I'm bad at English
  • @philnguyen834
This is exactly what I composed in my head during sorrow nights. I couldn't play piano but these songs completely align my imaginary improvisations
  • Although I donโ€™t believe in ghosts, I like the idea of an old library. the music is beautiful and relaxing - perfect for reading for enjoyment. Read the classics while immersed in these sounds
