  • Hey, What does one in equity capital market division in a bank?
  • Carried interest is 20% above the committed capital(100mm) instead, in your example
  • Successful people don't become that way overnight. Most people you see as a glance-wealth, a great career, purpose-is the result of hard work and hustle over time. I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life

Hey Ben, thanks for sharing! Are you in the VC & finance of innovation class this semester?
  • @dac8939
What is your view on advantage of some of these funds as on an average they still under perform many leading index funds. The ones the do perform well do so above 20-40%+ range but very few are in that category. A lot of partner positions are much older than that. Some traditional firms is more like 45-50+. Also the model of MBA is a little old. With more specialised leading Masters degrees they can enter into senior associate or VP.
  • Seeing those numbers - wow, that's a lot of dough.... ....which you kind of were going to end up going back into but then didn't. There's definitely a balance between happiness and money, but knowing what you know now, if you went back to 2020 when you were applying for jobs/applying for your MBA in order to get a job (most likely in VC), would you still choose the path you've chosen? You'd have financial stability in one, but that entrepreneurial element would still be knawing at you, while in the one you're in now, you're in a lot more debt, it's less stable, but more satisfying. And do you ever think what if?

When do these associates realise the carry in VC firms? Any investment takes 8 years to hatch results
  • I wasnt financial free until my 40’s and I’m still in my 40’s, bought my third house already, earn on a monthly through passive income and got 4 out of 5 goals, just hope it encourages someone that it doesn’t matter if you don’t have any of them right now, you can start TODAY regardless your age INVEST and change your future! Investing in the financial market is a grand choice I made. Great video! Thanks for sharing!Very inspiring! I love this
  • @bomont2237
Yay! Let’s pay 2% and 20% for them to underperform when I can pay a manager 1% flat fee and outperform the relative benchmark.
  • @aespactzen880
How easy is it for a sales trader to get into the buy side?
  • @USA-qm3jy
Are you seriously selling your resume? Why not just share them, everyone uses the same format anyway? Your resume probably just had very good experiences, no resume format is worth buying.
  • @chan90s
Bro, what difference all the big B schools make apart from networking? I see that all the courses are available online
  • @hatchegg80
you should go back to the sellside, terrible risk appreciation
