Gaunter O'Dimm claimed another soul, because the amount of hours that have gone into this video just about killed me 💀 Anyway, really hope you guys enjoy. I really put everything I possibly could into it to raising the bar from the last one. If you'd like to see Blood & Wine happen, which will definitely be a several-month project, consider supporting the channel in whichever way you can. If interested, we do have a Patreon with plenty of perks like occasional bonus videos, including one on the Jad Karadin choice www.patreon.com/posts/97499609 Also, consider checking out my link for more information on Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, which also helps out the channel immensely gsght.com/c/j7wj2i

Need that Blood and Wine, brother. Have a couple coffees on me.
  • @origulator
I can't believe Gaunter would just put a png of a fly in that guy's soup like that. Evil incarnate.

This man never stops making GODLIKE content.

I like the part where you show the face brand to Yen & Triss, and they straight up say: "Nope, can't remove it, too stronk."

For as much as I love beautiful Toussaint, Hearts of Stone is my favorite dlc. The writing for these quests is just chef's kiss (same writer as the Bloody Baron questline, btw). I always hang the portrait of Iris and Olgierd in Corvo Bianco, and place the Iris sword below it, in remembrance. Geralt's response to Iris is maybe the noblest thing he's ever said or done.

I agree 100% with your take on the Cat Witcher quest. I've seen tons of people online argue that Geralt would spare him and I always felt like they missed the heart of the character entirely

I hate watching your videos, Neon. I've beaten the game three times and yet I still want to go back for another round every time I watch one of your videos. No other creator or game has had this effect on me. Well done my friend, well done.

Wow, you have completely reshaped how I see this expansion. Thank you for providing a clear timeline. Keep up the good work mate
  • @high.level.noob.
I actually cried twice during this DLC. Thank you for making this video. Means a lot to me!

I audibly gasped at the mention of Iris as Van Rogh. It's been a while since I played Hearts of Stone, so I've gained additional context for Van Gogh through a song/spoken word interlude called 'On Failure' from rapper Aesop Rock. He describes how he liked a painting of Von Gogh and discovered that he was considered a madman and a failure, due to his work not finding success until after his death. Aesop concludes that it's probably wrong to call him a failure, that the word doesn't fit. Not because his paintings are collectively worth billions, or his role in art history. Rather, the important part is that Aesop kinda liked one of his paintings. Just fits so damn well with Iris' story, both success and influence after death, and how personally important to her it is that Geralt remembers her. I love when art has dimensions like that, even when sometimes part of my appreciation of it is coincidental.
  • I like how you delved into the human condition instead of a quest walkthrough. Thank you! ETA: Yes, please on Blood and Wine!

The amount of self-discipline you must have to make this kind of fleshed-out video (which is hour-long without filler) is astonishing.
  • @BojangleBaggins
I already commented on how good these videos are, but something that I don’t think gets mentioned enough is just how funny they are as well! So many great choices with the editing and clip inserts. Always a good time.
  • @MasonLopez
I didn't even realize how goofed up my understanding of the timeline was, and what an impact that has. Fantastic video!
  • Incredible work. Didn´t know if you were going to continue the series, GLAD U DID. You should be proud. Already waiting for B&W
  • @ZakRoks487
So glad you mentioned the Cat of Iello from Season of Storms, it’s my main (meta) reason for justifying Geralt killing Gaetan in that moment. There’s no way he wouldn’t be thinking about that when he confronts Gaetan, and even if Geralt was wanting to not kill another Witcher, there’s obvious exceptions, according to Geralt himself, about this exact scenario and he’d be a hypocrite to let Gaetan go while investigating the death of the people he killed maybe an hour ago when he threatened to kill Brehen on the basis of a (reasonable) hypothetical. Great video and can’t wait for Blood and Wine
  • @timraup4888
An absolute treat, sir. If it's feasible and doesn't drain the last of your soul left over after your battle with Master Mirror, I'm really excited for a Blood and Wine video. I've watched this and the core Witcher 3 video so many times.
  • @hurricaNe8841
Honestly, man, I think this video is the best one you've ever done. The editing, the REAL in-depth analysis, the way you tell the things and explain every single bit of motivation behind different characters' actions is just unbelievable. It feels like a true work of art, really. Keep it up, bro.
