Stadiums should have like a 50-year life minimum... renovate don't threaten to relocate. This is getting absurd. There should also be little government funding. Some congressmen should propose a law with a 10% max for all levels of government. Sports teams make so much money that stadiums tend to not benefit the community coffers (as per virtually all studies on the issue). This whole stadium frenzy in North American needs to stop.
  • I feel like such a minority opposing this. We've been on the lake forever, I love the lake and I love being a cold weather team. The mentality really has shifted in the last ten years.

I dont understand why a 25 year old stadium needs to be replaced. 25 should be considered brand new in stadium years. Do a renovation.

That Thumbnail rendering looks like a massive shopping mall, not an NFL Stadium.
  • If the stadium in the thumbnail is a rendering of the proposed new BROWNS stadium đŸŸïž, I believe it needs a redesign,as this one looks like a Cabela's or Bass Pro Shop, which are awesome stores, and if Jimmy and Dee insist on a domed stadium,it sure as hell should be a retractable roof closed only during thunder and lightning storms that occur during BROWNS games GO BROWNS 👍
  • So basically, the original Browns played at Cleveland Municipal Stadium for 50 years and then left because of it. Now the new Browns will get their second new stadium in less than 30 years. 😕

The taxpayers should enjoy having their taxes raised to pay for this stupidity.
  • @jartstopsign
This trend of replacing 25 year old stadiums and screwing the public is lunacy

Looks like a nice looking stadium. Outside looks bland but overall it is better than most of the stadiums build in the 90's. Opened in 1999 and Raymond James(Tampa) opened in 1998. RayJay is still okay. 50-50 split between owner and tax payers. 50-50 split in revenues with the tax payers. No, I did not think so. I hope it has to go on a ballot. 1.2B+ is a lot of money to trust shyster Commissioners.

Cities need to keep assisting with funding for no other reason than to lock teams into 40+ year leases. It's insane to build new stadiums every 20-30 years
  • @darionrob
as a browns fan who lives in cleveland i want them to move to Brookpark im closer to the new site anyway 😂
  • Things will be different for home teams like Tennessee Jacksonville BALTIMORE at Neutral sites till Their own Stadiums are finished
  • @91_C4_FL
Crazy. There’s nothing wrong with their current stadium. The Browns could get another 15-20 years out of it with minimal renovations.
  • @jono1432
Jimmy, you're worth $8 billion. Sell some assets and pay for it yourself.
  • @ChildOfThe1970s
I can't imagine the Browns playing anywhere other than the lakefront. I had been to the old stadium several times in the early 90s and it's a scenic and nostalgic location. I recall the seagulls flying around. Sad to see them leave that location if they do.
  • @mysteryhombre81
They should find a way to not make it artificial turf, and keep it real grass. Also whats wrong with the current stadium?
  • @onlyonezay419
People who don’t get it. Brook park is literally 10 miles down the road & since it’s going too Brook park. Most of that money will be paid for by Jimmy if it’s moved too Brook park. The guy in the video didn’t mention that the only way the city of Cleveland would be taxed would be if they make the renovation cost downtown

  • @wineguy9348
Word of advice. Don’t EVER threaten to move Browns out of Cleveland area.
