"It's not a banshee, it's actually an insane old swamp-dwelling orphan on a jetpack" is probably the greatest plot twist I've ever seen.

I don't believe Donal's story about the castle explosion. Fairy magic can't melt steel beams.

"Why does he hate the British, he's Irish, he is British." MARK NO, DON'T START YOUR CAR MARK, MAAAAARRRRRK!
  • @NotOnLand
Nancy's constant little "haha"s are the real life equivalent of ending every sentence with lol

“Nancy isn’t supposed to have a boyfriend, IM her boyfriend!” - Mark, the narrator.

As an Irish person, the only part of this video I found upsetting was how far to the right Nancy was leaning on that road. That's why she crashed. On a clearly marked banshee crossing and everything, feckin yank.

Nancy drew is a 92 year old teenager, which is already most people's idea of hell, and she has had countless "adventures" across all forms of media. In books, comics, radio plays, television shows, movies, video games of all sorts, fan-fiction, View Master reels, etc, everywhere she goes and everything she tries to do, something happens and she has to go solve a mystery. At some point, someone is going to ask her to find their family medallion or whatever, and she's just going to go, "OR OH HEY HERE'S A THOUGHT MAYBE SOLVE YOUR OWN DAMN PROBLEM LIKE THE ADULT I'LL NEVER BE."

As an avid lover of Nancy Drew Mystery Games and as someone who owns and has played all 33 games..... I am beyond happy to see IH covering this series
  • Me (an Irishman): "This depiction of Ireland is inaccurate" Video: "tear down the castle, try to build big set of townhouses" Also me: "Never mind"
  • @chplat
Nancy drew says all you need to solve a mystery is an inquisitive temperament and two good friends.

2:03 It's cute that Nancy thinks just because there no traffic on the road that it's safer to use a phone. Ireland's country roads are narrow and very windy and coupled with the darkness and sudden inclines, you need both hands.

This game is too scary for sumito
  • I lost my MIND when I saw that that you were covering this. I know it’s a pipe dream, but I hope you cover other installments. Some of them are even more bonkers than this…and the drama around the final game and possible/likely death of the series and studio is an interesting story in and of itself. I’ve also played almost all 33 games multiple times. ND by HER interactive was the series that encouraged me to get into video games as a girl, back when they were still largely marketed towards boys. The community that loved these games was a relatively small, but loyal fan base. And the gameplay for the first 32 games was extremely simplistic, but they pumped out 2 almost every year, and you could play it on even the most basic of computers. To see IH talk about it feels like two of my worlds colliding. I played about 10 mins of Salem and couldn’t go on. It was so bad. It’s the only one I never finished, and it was a heartbreaking way for the series to die. They’re fun little games if you can dismiss the cheesey graphics, but some are better than others.

Shouldn't the old lady be the heir to the castle? And they just had the police take her away instead?
  • @ArtwellI
So she went from being a detective in a horror game to becoming the Sea Emperor in Subnatica? I guess she lived long enough to become the horror itself.
  • @carterbot8472
Hey man. I'm in the hospital right now, the videos on all 3 of your channels are really helping. Thanks for being hilarious dude. Hope you have a great day.
