A demonstration video to show that these 2 particular locomotives, and the controllers are working well, including reliability of their reversing mechanisms. The date code on the green Pytchley is September 1953.

Triang Railways catenary overhead wire system (introduced 1958) also allowed two locomotives to be individually controlled.

Hi alochrome I have an old trix transformer 20/42 (if you google it you'll see it's and old black box)and trix trains and railways (3 rails tracks and the locomotives have the contact in the middle. I got these from my recently passed away grandfather and I've been googling but haven't found how to connect that transformer(or is it in fact a controller?) to the tracks and to the power source. Do you think you can please explain me how did you do it? Thank you regards, Agustin
