  • Hi Darlene, I'm a 100% beginner to art and your videos are a big help thank you. I feel the longer videos are more helpful to people at my level of experience, due to the amount of information/tips you are able to relay back to us. Short videos = less information! Just my opinion. Keep up the good work and thank you.
  • Either long or short … the fact that you show each and every step and explain why it is done that way. I also like that you tell what type of product you are using. Very informative.❤
  • Mam you are inspirational for me, I have learned a lot, my eyes are wet while typing this, I respect you from the bottom of my heart and thnku for these selflessly amazing tutorials for free
  • @jkjchi
Absolutely terrific and very helpful! Prefer the shorter ones but the long ones are great too. I really enjoy the way you simplify and show exact, clear steps to follow.
  • @daclachoang368
Your long or short tutorials are great either way. Thank you for your comprehensive techniques. Great work.

Hi there, I am finally interested in sketching ..love you tutorials and appreciate your guidance. I do prefer the long step by step tutorials.
  • Both video types, long and short, serve their purpose. I would like a video where, for example, you just draw 20 different noses, in just 2 or 3 poses. Just so we get a better feel for the differences the initial setup can make. Thanks.

I’m indecisive. Your videos are informative for many of all ages. I like the quick videos when I do not have a lot of time to watch but on the weekends I like watching more in depth videos. Have you done a full face portrait before? I’d like to watch one of those.
  • I love the long videos. The short are good, but I love how much more detail goes into the long video.
  • @davebailey2584
Love the tutorials either way....I pause a lot but slowly but surly ....progress....thanks
  • @corpswavehm3
I like the quick shorter ones right now as I'm a beginner. I hope to progress into the longer ones with more details. You're awesome, please keep them coming. 😊
  • I'm new to sketching/drawing and love your longer tutorials. You are an excellent teacher and make things so easy to understand...many lightbulb moments while watching your videos. Thank you, love them.
  • @gincydenny
Awesome video and I like how simple you have made it while going at each section and the sequence of section are bang on adding into the drawing from start to finish alongside adding some tips as we go... Also referring to model in the entire video, at each section, reminds us to keep up the basic construction at the back of our mind Great job 👍

Hi Darlene, I started sketching last week! I loved your long tutorial on eyes. All your videos are great, I’m learning so much! Thank you
  • Another fantastic tutorial. I like both the shorter and longer tutorials. The longer ones are good for the first time trying and then for more practice the shorter ones. Hope that helps. Thank you again Darlene…I love your tutorials so much!

This in depth tutorial helped me to overcome the fear of failure, gain the know how, to make beautiful art of my own. Long format is great, for absolute beginners, like me, who need more detailed guidance, especially for portraits, the most difficult thing to do. I would like to see her diversify her art, with animals, landscape, etc.
  • I love all your videos but prefer the shorter ones (beginner here). Thanks for making so many incredible tutorials!
