Skyquakes, Upsweeps, Bloops and Sky Trumpets | Terrifying Sounds that Signal the End of the World

The Book of Revelation says the end of the world will be announced with the sound of seven trumpets. Each blowing of the trumpet brings a new apocalyptic event. After the seventh trumpet: armageddon.

For centuries, people have reported low-frequency hums, the crack of thunder on a clear day and the sound of cannon-fire in the middle of nowhere.

Mysterious sounds have been heard at the bottom of the ocean and in outer space. And they’ve been heard long before modern machines and industry.

Recently, people have been recording and sharing videos of these loud, unnatural sounds.

And some of them? They sound a lot like trumpets.

  • My wife died on Wednesday. She loved your channel, and looked forward to watching every episode. Thank you.
  • @GrumpyBottom
It's very rare to find someone who approaches contraversial topics with such an open mind, extensive research and succinct explanations. Thank you Why Files team!

I heard this sound in the sky at 3am in the absolute middle of nowhere, deep rural New Hampshire, perfectly beautiful September night. Zero breeze, zero clouds, sounded like a Harrier jet was trying to land on our house. Insane.

Thank you AJ for sharing your experience with your dad's death. I felt the same way when mine passed (11 years ago), and I thought I was broken because I didn't feel the grief others seemed to. Family memebers even encouraged me to cry but I couldn't, nor did I feel the need to, but I was close with my dad, so it wasn't a lack of love for him. He was sick for more than a year, so I knew it was coming.

I like how he's like "Here's some weird stuff" then gives the facts, some possibilities and then what he thinks. It's very open minded and more people should be like this.
  • Heard the trumpet sound in 2011 coming from literally a clear blue sky. As a person who doesn't consider myself a believer in superstition, I can attest that the sound is both real and haunting.
  • My father bought acreage in the forest of Whitefield, NH in the early 80’s for lumber. We drove up on weekends and one Saturday in 1982 we were sitting on the tailgate of his truck taking a break when the loudest most unnatural sound boomed through the forest. It terrified us, and we hopped in his truck and drove as fast as we could down an old logging trail. It sounded like a machine.
  • @MtHermit
My brother and I heard these deep in the Northern California mountains last night around 4 am. They were loud enough to wake me up. At first I thought it was trucks on the road, but the sound continued for 10 minutes without variation. Which takes out the likelihood that it was a semi truck braking. And there are no towns or mills around me. Closest town is 15 miles away. It was pretty wild

I lost my dad a few months ago. Never cried, or showed sorrow. When you spoke about your dad, I just started crying. It suddenly hurt. Thanks for helping me get it out.
  • @BigDog366
This show is better than any movie or TV series. When I see a new episode I feel a wave of pleasure and jut know I'm going to be intrigued, educated and amused. Please don't ever change your format. This is perfection.
  • @kimedwards4153
Both of my sisters have passed. My oldest sister passed out and never regained consciousness and was gone about a week later. My next to the oldest sister had cancer for almost 5 years and she kept beating it until it went to her brain. Her birthday was yesterday. I still grieve for them both and others that have passed that were just as close.

Strong electromagnetic waves can create electromagnetic vibrations. And this is what sound is. The movement of these vibrations. Electromagnetic fields can also create electromagnetic vibration or sound waves by creating a less dense medium, which the denser medium slams into the less dense medium at around all sides. This is thunder by the way. A Tesla coil can be used as a speaker in this manner as well.
  • Looks like it's going to be another BANGER! My week is incomplete until i get my why files fix! Looking forward to this friends!
  • I'm from South Africa, and I used to hear that humming almost every night, I haven't heard it in a while though. Every time I asked others, they thought I was crazy. The hum was very low pitch, but unbelievably noticeable, I have no idea how others couldn't hear it.
  • So am I hearing hecklefish is a veteran pot grower apparently?? 🤣🤣 every time I learn something new about hecklefish it just inspires more questions. Once I actually started listening to him he instantly went from mildly annoying me to what is now the main reason I watch. You’re great man. ❤
  • @Kuraimo
I always thought I was hallucinating those rumbles. I didn’t bring it up to my parents until I started to get annoyed it and my mom also heard them. Nobody but me and my mom could hear it. They don’t happen anymore but I think about them sometimes.
  • this is the scariest one because even I, who am extremely sceptic, heard those sounds one night a few years ago. I almost crapped my pants when I woke up to that. And it's amazing how they are so heard throughout the planet and no one talks about it
  • @BOYGOSGO
Sorry to hear about your loss, AJ. Your father is watching from above and he is very proud of you. This channel is a weekly blessing, and it means a lot to millions of people. You done good, brother AJ :,)
  • @allysamyles5121
I remember in 2008 hearing strange trumpet sounds outside. Years later I found out they were heard all over the world… still think about it to this day
