For those wondering why the map didn't change between 1402-1413 and there's no picture of a Sultan, this was because of the Ottoman Interregnum. Bayezit the Thunderbolt had been taken prisoner by Tamerlane at the Battle of Ankara and the throne remained vacant for 11 years while his sons duked it out among them over who would be Sultan. I always admired Ottoman empire , from France And when i look at french history and ottoman one , there are some common point : -They both ended a part of Roman empire (French ended the Western , Ottoman ended the Eastern) -They started as a small piece of land , to an enormous empire , to a less small piece of land -They both sees themself as Roman successors ( Charlemagne was called Roman emperor , Napoleon made French empire as glourious than Roman empire and Ottoman Empire considered itself as the Roman empire successor ) -During history , Ottoman empire and France were considered as the big threat of Europe , France was litterally against everyone , and everyone was scared of Ottoman Empire (well , at least for a big part of it's history)
