Foreign Secretary Lord Cameron has told Sky News that he is urging Israel not to further escalate tensions in the region after an attack by Iran.

On Saturday night, Iran launched a massive aerial assault on Israel, saying it was in retaliation to an airstrike on its embassy in Syria at the start of the month.

The attack was a "double defeat" and "total failure" for Iran, Lord Cameron said, and he hoped that there would not be a retaliatory military response from Israel.

The level of hypocrisy is beyond my moral standard.

What a hypocrisy, one side he said attack was a failure and other side he is saying Iran over reacted and done a massive attack. Make a laugh

US: “Israel has the right to defend it self.” US: “Iran doesn’t have the right to defend it self”

Israel can attack Iran but Iran can't attack Israel, Hypocrisy and double standards
  • This is totally nuts, nuts. I am shocked. No mention of violation of international law by bombing the Iranian consulate. So suddenly it’s not ok for Iran to act in self defence. 😂what a joke David Cameron. What a joke.

Excuse me, why is it UK government's job to work with Israel? Did the Israeli pay tax to UK?
  • @justme-oz8bj
😂😂😂 He realised how much of a fool he was when she asked him what the UK will do when another country flattened their consulate.
  • An unelected foreign secretary, where is the democracy? This person does not speak for me.

I love how Madam Journalist is relentless in asking question and ensuring that she gets the answer to question she asked and not what he wanted to answer. That's A Good Journalist

Shameful stance from our government. This is not in our name.

Lady Cameron, how about talking about Syrian land that has recently been stolen by Israel?!?! I suppose Israel has the right to defend itself in that case too?
  • @terrym540
With a 4 hour notice given before the commencement of the attack, it was meant as a warning response to the bombing of the Consulate, which has yet to be condemned, in a third party country.

This woman should be given an award, for doing what lerry king once said. As the question and demand an answer,, and not let the politicians bully with lies and hide and seek.

Wasnt a failure, it was a message
  • Isn't hitting the embassy against international law? Didn't Iran attack because of that attack? Have the aid workers killed in Gaza been forgotten now?
  • @cassiopeia4015
Cameron couldn't run this country so how can he tell Israel (or any other country) how to run theirs? He's an embarrassment.
