Incumbent Nicolas Maduro won his third six-year term as Venezuelan President. President of the Electoral Council Elvis Amoroso declared the results after a six hour delay. Amoroso said Maduro secured 51.2% votes while opposition candidate Edmundo Gonzalez garnered only 44% of votes. The results were shocking for the Opposition as several exit polls predicted victory for Gonzalez. Watch.
