I Bought a Refurbished NES From DK Oldies - This is What They Sent - This is my first time buying something from DKOldies. I wanted to do a video on my experience in case my viewers are curious. Customers should pay close attention to the listing so they know what they're getting (and what they're not). And customers may not get a high level of refurbishing... but experiences will vary.

$314 is outrageous for something that has aftermarket parts in it and they didn't even clean properly
  • @KyleZiber
This is literally no better than if you bought this at Goodwill. The fact that they call it refurbished and charge a premium price is insane. Thank you for making this video and I love your videos!
  • @TheJustin905
charging people 314$ for 3rd party stuff and not even refurbishing it like they say is just flat out fraud robbery
  • @sonystar0521
The fact that this man had to refurbish his own refurbished console is insane 😂
  • @iLife64
I miss the 2000s when you could get an NES for like $5 at a garage sale or a thrift store
  • @pks7618
No joke, I was constantly thinking what would happen if TronicsFix made a video about DK oldies. I’m so happy
  • @KTLaughter
10:38 that piece of green confetti is 100% a pine needle from a faux Christmas tree which is amazing to me. That NES must have been played with well by some kids in the 80s-90s. Wholesome
  • @banesbox
Can we just take a minute to acknowledge the quality of Nintendo’s old products? The NES will be 40 in a few years and mine still works like it’s right out of the box.
  • @georgem2768
The prices at DKOldies is absolutely ridiculous. I don’t know how they think a “refurbished” NES that isn’t clean, an off-brand zapper and games that weren’t properly cleaned on the inside $300.
  • For $314 it should have a non yellowed top, brand new set of pins, each game cartridge cleaned up before packaged, and official accessories. Could buy that stuff locally for $100-150
  • The optimism throughout the video is inspiring. Getting blatantly bent over and taking it like a champ.
  • @Dianaranda123
Would actually be cool to see an alternative being recommended, where you CAN buy actual cleaned and refurbished units where they actually put in the effort at a similar price.
  • @12345.......
For $314 I would expect it to be clean and work perfectly
  • Absolutely not worth what you paid. I’m glad you did this video. Been following you for a while and you’re one of the most reputable repair channels on YouTube in my opinion.

What you’ve done here is exactly what they should be doing to their “refurbished” consoles. Take note @DKOldies
  • @shagdog80
Wow that console is even missing the upper metal shield... They literally sent you a console with parts missing
  • i don't think its worth it considering it wasn't cleaned properly, i do love watching all your video's. Awesome to see someone fix up console's in a better way than most repair shops.
  • @cargeny
I feel like DKoldies should use your videos as a tutorial on how to properly refurbish a console. Keep up the good work sir!
  • @Mullerology
DK Oldies never cease to disappoint with their never ending stream of disappointment. At least they are consistently inconsistent, I give them that.
  • @jakep8484
I have actually refurbished these installing new capacitors, cleaning inside and out and cleaning/repairing original 72pin connectors and sold them for under 150 bucks. Their price seems very high for what you got.
  • Thank you so much for checking the games and controllers. With the whole DKO stuff going on, I've almost bought an NES game just to check that. Great video!
