The success of Switzerland is based on a tricameral system: NationalRat, StändeRat and MuRat. (Sorry, a very bad joke that only the Swiss will get)

Let's hope them Swiss will procede to dominate England and win the tournament so that our (italian) pitiful performance may fade into a mere fleeting step on the path to glory to the new superpower of european football: Switzerland
  • Switzerland: 7 goals 7 players England: 4 goals 2 players Team vs world class Individuals

Murat yakın is the most underrated manager of this euro
  • @morrisse0_088
I‘m Swiss and not even we expected our squad to do this well😂

Also to mention that our CB akanji schär and rodriguez all have quality passing. Every prem fan knows about schärs insane accuracy in his long passes. Akanji is so calm under pressure and his 10-15m passes are 99% good. Rodriguez is extremly good on bringig the ball forward on the side line. Still, we are the underdogs. But be aware england, our crowd will there. We will turn this stadium in a (peacful) hell. We will outnumber and outsing you. And maybe we can keep our momentum and advance. Hopp schwiz❤

Thank you for answering my burning question: What the heck is my team doing and why does this work so well. ;) Very nice pronounciation of the Swiss names! Schär and Xhaka is a bit different, but the rest was perfect! Greetings from a Swiss football fan ;)

This tactic is so good... so good that it made me replicate it in FM!
  • Don't know how much of these tactics are really due to Yakin. The similarities to Xhaka's Leverkusen are obvious. I think this is Xhaka/Xabi tactics. Cause until a few months ago they looked very different under Yakin. Then Xhaka spoke up publicy and suddenly they play like Leverkusen.

What makes Switzerland dangerous is that unlike top teams they will prepare a counter tactic to yours. And then the opponents manager has to find a response at half time. The Scottish manager did it after Switzerland repeated Germanys tactic of the first game, Nagelsmann did a good change and Spaghetti did not. All I can say is if England keeps playing as defensive as Italy and they give Switzerland enough chances to go ahead, they are in deep shit. That team is very much best at defense, even if the attack is still solid…
  • Italy were better than England in the group stages and they made them look like a youth team side, I think we will be lucky to get out of our own half. Their only real weakness is lack of goals, but I can see another dominate 2-0.

As a swiss who only watches world-euro-american cup this is interesting. I think our team (I'm swiss) is stronger than it ever has been. And the team plays really tactical and create some dangerous attacks. While england has strong individuals who can create some scary attacks. I'm confudent that this will be the firs time Switzerland can pass quarter finals.

Italy won the last Euro. And they won in the same yeahr the Eurovision Song Contest. Now this time.....
  • The Ä in Schär equals the Ae in Aebischer. If you don't want to use "Umlaut" (Ü,Ö,Ä) you could write it as "Ue, Oe and Ae" and the pronounciation for Ä is the same like the Ae from Aebischer. Just in case this is somehow useful to anyone.

I was hoping for a Spain Vs. Austria grand final, but I'd like to see Switzerland going forward.
  • @NdinguAnda
Southgate is probably here with a burner account
  • I saw their game against germany , and i have to say they made germany look toothless at sum times😂
