When they screw up and give you a pound of fries too much they are clearly breaking their own rules and you shouldn’t have to pay for the meal, I get really annoyed at all these places that “accidentally” loads up the plates with way too much food 😢

That was incredibly unfair. This is the second time they’ve added more food to the challenge then they should have. Honestly, I think you could’ve won Katrina. Had they not overfilled on the fries.

I agree with some of the comments that I think these restaurants purposely make extra plating of food so you will fail. Katina, you were right when you said that the nachos in themselves could have been a challenge. I admire your determination to finish despite the rip off. Good for you!!

That was definitely two challenges. Three if you count the fries. And four if you count the spice challenge separately. Normally Randy’s the one who doubles them 😅. Genuinely impressed you managed to get through so much of it, especially after the “jalapeño incident”. Good effort! 😁

I, for one, would actively boycott a place that rigs their challenges like that! Great way to throw away all the goodwill and positive marketing they could have garnered. It’s just stupid.

“Rustic-Industrial” Take a trip up to Evansville Indiana and check out The Gerst Haus on West Franklin Street. A German restaurant in 150 year old German Hardware store: 30 foot ceilings with tin-type, 4 story tall building and 45 ft long bar. Tiffany-style table lamps. They still even have the original grain elevator that connects all floors (there is also a full basement) to the main kitchen.
