the GREATEST VEGETARIAN sandwich

Published 2020-08-13
This is probably the greatest vegetarian sandwich ever. Crispy fried eggplant cutlets (eggplant Milanese), burrata, arugula, roasted red peppers, balsamic vinaigrette. This Italian fried eggplant sandwich is a perfect vegetarian meal, especially for picky eaters...forgetaboutit

“I’m a retired expert sandwich maker” Stealing that for my CV, hope no one asks

Can you do an entire series dedicated to delicious sandwiches 🤤🤤🤤
  • I made your penne alla vodka legitimatley today for both my family and a close family who has a parent who has been having a tough time dealing with their battle with cancer. The entire time making it I felt so at peace with the process and loved every second of prep, cooking, and assembly. I fell back in love with cooking today, and I was able to feed friends in need the best, most comforting food I have ever made in a long time. Thank you very much. I figured you'd like hearing your recipie/video touched some people today.

You can take away the 'probably' from the description. I made this today and it was spectacular. Just woah. Keep up the great effort with this channel - it's tough times out there for a lot of people and anything that brings a bit of happiness to the world should be applauded. From Sydney, Australia

  • @TheMorganRose
OF COURSE the "something heavy on top" was a can of San Marzano tomatoes...
  • @ronnie7074
Pro tip from Italian grandmas everywhere: mix the leftover breadcrumbs and egg and make breadcrumb fritters called Pitticelle di pane

  • @wudaman
Dear God, This guy murked the game with this one. I think id like to have some thin sliced onions marinated in that vinaigrette. Woooo have mercy.

5:37 I had to rewind 😂 he’s holding the camera with his mouth. Dedication at its best lol thanks for this yummy recipe! I’m gonna veganize it by replacing eggs with flaxseed “egg”
  • @ayluFulya
I keep coming back to this recipe every time we have guests over! A tip for my vegan friends; sometimes I leave the egg out of the recipe and mix water and flower instead to make the bread crumbs stick to the egg plant. It works just the same! Thanks a lot for sharing it!
  • I just made this and it really was one of the best sandwiches I have ever eaten, simply phenomenal. Thank you for the recipe❤️❤️❤️
  • @jackmoore325
This sandwich looks amazing and I really like how you explain what role each ingredient plays in bringing the sandwich together
  • @sarahdee374
Looks great! Especially if I'm frying I try to use a sauce with no oil: I like a 3/2/1 sauce 3 parts balsamic (or other) vinegar, 2 parts mustard of your choice, and 1 part maple syrup, and shake! It stores well and is so good.
  • @LordSellus
already did this one had feta in the fridge and used it instead of burrata and it came out great thanks for this recipe
  • @jaysambuco
Bro this man makes the best vids, and he isn’t cringe.
  • Just did this! Wanted to tell you it was amazing. I didn't have bell peppers so I substituted them for sun dried tomatoes, and it was delicious!
