I bought catfood from the grocery and this first thing i pull from my phone when im back at home IS THIS. You get half of it.
  • This should be a challenge mode where: -You walk slower -Entities like Rush, Ambush, Halt and Screech spawn more frequently -You can only have one item at a time -Free Room 50 skip -Longer Seek chases -Catfood can randomly spawn, feed it to Maxwell and fill up its gauge. -Each catfood fills 1/8 of the gauge. -You can use 1/4 of the gauge to lockpick a door. -If Maxwell's gauge is full, you can click to crucifix an entity. The gauge will then reset.

MAXWELL Has a chance to be found in the Skull room alongside the Herb of Viridis, or Jeff's shop (Purchasable for 500 Gold), replacing the Skeleton Key. Holds keys for you. Unlocks doors for you. Creates a secondary rift to be held in at door 100, which only Maxwell can be stored in. This rift acts identical to the normal rift. Hisses at drawers containing Timothy. Can be pet every 5 rooms to heal a little bit less than a band-aid would. When not being held (ie. holding a lockpick, light source, or vitamins), goes onto your shoulder, slightly decreasing your peripheral vision. Can distract Figure every 5 minutes in Doors 50 and 100. Meows if the next room contains a harmful entity. (excluding Seek and Figure.) Hisses at Dupe doors. Meows at drawers containing a key. Slightly increases the spawn rates of Screech, Rush, and increases the length of the Seek chase. Meows when you are near books that contain useful information. Meows when you are near a fuse. Can barter with Jeff to lower item prices by 5%. Tell me anything I should remove or add.

If this becomes official, I will literally help the devs create all the floors and patch all bugs. Okay guys, I can't reply to any more comments. I do know lua scripting, and I'm good at modeling.

Maxwell cat functions: Challenge item Slower walkspeed Bigger money and better rewards for score Beating the game with him for the first time gives an achievement and free resurrection Plays a song anytime an entity is near Glows when near any item Makes it harder to hide (shortens the timer for getting kicked out of hiding) Only allows one item to be picked up by the cat rush ambush and halt appear more frequently and are faster And can do the stuff he does in the video

I think the cat should also give you a little ability at the start of the game that disappears when the user uses it. It will stop monsters in their tracks, functioning like the New Cross item.
  • [ NEW ITEM/ENTITY: MAXWELL ] Lore: Maxwell first manifested in The Hotel on the date of β–ˆβ–ˆ/β–ˆβ–ˆ/20β–ˆβ–ˆ, after an incident of unknown magnitude occurred coinciding with the Floor 2 auditions caused The Hotel to be overrun with an influx of entities, mainly Rusher-type entities. It is unknown what specifically caused this incident, however it appears to have also not only caused an influx of entities, but also had effects such as allowing Seek to obtain a Classic Roblox Jeep. Maxwell's arrival, of course, was one of those effects; however, he appears to have arrived after the majority the incident subsided within public servers. Maxwell is often unseen, however when he appears to a player, he sticks by their side until death do they part. Obtaining: - Having the NVCS-3000 (Scanner/Tablet) in The Rift and entering The Rooms will provide a guaranteed chance for Maxwell to spawn in room A-1000. - Has a 1/2000 chance of appearing in Jeff's store, replacing the Crucifix. This chance is reduced to 1/200 if playing the April Fools' Super Hard Mode. (Costs 500 Gold) - Has a 1/1000 chance of appearing in normal rooms if playing the April Fools' Super Hard Mode. - Has a 1/30 chance of spawning alongside the Herb of Viridis in the Infirmary. This does not occur if Maxwell spawned in Jeff's shop, or if one is playing the April Fools' Super Hard Mode. - Can be obtained from the Curious Rift on Door 1 if placed within it in Door 100. This does not occur if one is playing the April Fools' Super Hard Mode. Usage: - Picking up Maxwell for the first time will grant the player the "The Purrfect Friend" badge and a free Revive. - Only one Maxwell can be in a single game at the same time, but there is a glitch where if two or more players obtain Maxwell on the exact same frame, multiple can exist. This can cause some other issues however and is thus not suggested. - Obtaining Maxwell will spawn the Curious Rift in Door 100, which only Maxwell can be placed inside of. While Maxwell can also be placed within the normal Rift, it is discouraged as it renders it otherwise useless until Maxwell is swapped out for another item. Placing Maxwell in the Curious Rift will cause him to meow, then disappear. The Curious Rift then despawns, awarding the player with the "Best Friends Forever" badge. - Holding Maxwell causes you to move about 5% slower. - Unlike other items, Maxwell has two durability meters; one blue, and one yellow like normal. The blue meter starts empty, while the yellow starts full. Both meters cap at 5 points. - Pressing LMB while holding Maxwell will allow the player to pet them, restoring 10 HP to the player over 3 seconds. Petting Maxwell has a 5-second cooldown, however the healing can only be used once every 5 rooms. Every room, the yellow meter will go up by one, indicating how long until Maxwell's healing can be used again. Maxwell can still heal the player even if they are under the effects of the Herb of Viridis. This ability continues to function within The Rooms. - Having Maxwell in your inventory will occasionally cause energy orbs to spawn (1/40 normally, 1/69 on Super Hard Mode). Maxwell begins playing music that increases in pitch the closer you are to one. Interacting with these orbs will charge Maxwell's blue meter by one. These orbs emit a faint blue glow, and as such, they do not spawn in The Greenhouse. - When Maxwell's blue meter is full, he will act like a Crucifix. Using Maxwell in this fashion to banish an entity will not destroy him, but rather reset their blue meter to empty. However, Maxwell must be manually recovered by the player after usage in this fashion. - Attempting to use Maxwell to banish Dupe will result in the same effect, however he never leaves the player's inventory. - Maxwell will always emit Guiding Light particles while not held by a player. - Maxwell will purr softly when held for at least 5 seconds. He stops purring if an entity has spawned. - Maxwell grants a player immunity to Timothy so long as they are holding him. Yes, you can use this to troll your friends. - Having Maxwell in your inventory will slightly increase the chances of Screech spawning. This can be mitigated by using a lighter or flashlight. - Maxwell will randomly trill while unequipped, reminding you that he is still there. - On Super Hard Mode, Maxwell grants the player with passive shield regeneration if they are under the effects of the Herb of Viridis. Badge 1: (Secret achievement) "The Purrfect Friend" Well hello there kitty cat! Obtain Maxwell. Badge 2: (Secret achievement) "Best Friends Forever" See you next time, kitty. Place Maxwell in the Curious Rift. Tell me if you have other ideas. Idea was inspired by the comments from www.youtube.com/channel/UCfPZ24B6aLrhJPH_aIPe_Zg and www.youtube.com/channel/UClhGi6Uzn6rriJ0Iw2NC5ZQ
  • I appreciate that Maxwell opens the locked doors and in return he has to be protected, very max - well.
  • @Salomabasha
A friend of mine had a concept where there is a group of cats that live in the hotel, if you bring the leader of the group an offering (tuna) they will give you some cats that will help you in looting and some other stuff. (took me 4 hours to edit in something I forgor) This actually looks like you made some of the parts of the concept true
  • "Sticks by your side." I thought it would be a cool concept if maxwell is like a totem of undying, and when he's gone there's a text on the screen and it says "you can do it!"
  • He’s so cute when he pulled the lever in the dark room! When you were about to throw him I thought β€œwait he’s a gun?” Because I heard a gun reload
  • @_Maelgon_
Maxwell should be a one-time purchase item. So he’s with you forever :)
  • @Ratty2119
Honestly having maxwell by ur side would make the game a lot more chill
