while yard sale shopping I came across this mini speed boat, the owner did not want to sell it but relented in letting us try to fix it. so lets see how that will work out.

This is the reason I watch your videos, you lowerd that boat and drop that engine right into a bucket of water which proves to me you think out of the box ,that's very cool
  • Wow! I havent seem one of these since the early sixties! I had twenty of these in Miami bEach. I rented them out for 1/2 our rides at major hotels. They were manufactured in Miami and had a 6 hp Eveinrude engine in them. For me their was a tragic story attached to these little boats. We had two men at each lovcation and we would just have one man on on the two handles on the back and one on the front and we would just haul the boat to the water from the beach and put the rider on. I got so that I could rebuild one of those engines in a half hour.I had nno idea that any of these still existed!. The name of the boat from the manufacturer at the time was Hydro Scooter.
  • VERY cool of the owner to allow you to wrench on this fun little beast for the enjoyment of all us tool freaks. If I'm not getting filthy, I'm watching someone else get filthy :medal-yellow-first-red:

Standard OMC armature plate, coils, points setup. All the parts are still available.
  • @spgoo1
Awesome! I've been craving some of your videos recently. I hope you're staying safe, we have all been missing you
  • You’re supposed to be working on this in the middle of a secluded lake with whitecaps tossing you around 🤣
  • @muskokamike127
38:30 OMC made in Peterborough Ont. A buddy's dad worked there until they closed. Johnson and Evinrude. Sad, they were THE marine engine company but they snoozed and lost to the imports.
