Fun fact:Pompeii was a city that was destroyed by a volcano that was pretty much right next to it, (people back then obviously didnt knew about volcanoes) and the city was covered in ash and people were turned into a kind of stone statues, that is why in the video the people's eyes turn black , representing the people that died , and the guy is trying to escape but his eyes also turn black representing that no one scaped from the eruption.
