  • Lucky for you! Meanwhile here in Toronto, neither the Eglinton Crosstown LRT or Finch West LRT hasn't even opened yet. For us Torontonians, things get more frustrating as this has been going on for more than 11-13 years, ever since 2011 and 2013. Yet, the Eglinton Crosstown LRT line frustrates me even more as it was originally expected to open in 2020, there were so many delays and now being pushed back to 2024. The Finch West LRT was suppose to open in 2023, but then joins the delaying party and gets pushed back to 2024 as well. I'm just hoping that these 2 LRT lines would open at some point as we're getting impatient here, waiting for them to open the lines. Besides that, you really did a great job on the video!

The Valley Line LRT is probably gonna be my favorite memories of LRTs ever. From riding it in November to riding it in the future, it’s gonna be a big treat.

Fantastic video! I love the look and style of the LRT systems in Alberta! Very convenient for door to door commuting and the transit priority given to it is incredible! We only have BRT and Metro systems where I’m from and they won’t be converting the BRT lines to LRT due to pushback from the public. If only we could build something up to standard as the Valley Line. Being from Vancouver B.C we missed out on such a great LRT system recently as the city of Surrey decided a city wide LRT network connected to the Metro Vancouver Skytrain would be a no go. People here don’t understand the benefits of low floor light rail running within a city core. We’d rather give priority to cars and keep buses on their own lanes on the road. People here want transit away either elevated or underground. Lo and behold the 3 LRT lines to be built is now one Skytrain line. I’ll have to finally leave my province and travel to Alberta to see the LRT networks out there! Cheers and thanks for the upload!

A lot of empty seats! What is that, a test run, lol??
  • @oleunis7921
how fast is it? IIRC it uses the same LRV as the eglinton crosstown here in Toronto, so I want to know how much time it saved for transit riders in edmonton, for that's probably comparable to the time savings we're going to get

refreshing 🍸👍 ... queer about ALL that corporate clutter universally fouling Ottawa's (faulty) LRT (not that diesel one of its either)
