They’re legit treating him like if it was one of their kids. Mad respect for them officers

As a former EMT, the screams may be awful to listen to but man, they're a wonderful noise, because you know your patient has an airway and he's breathing 💔

As a pediatric ICU nurse, that was really hard to watch. The way he was crying, that's called a neuro cry. People cry like that, a high-pitched cry that sounds like a bird screeching after their brains have been injured. Those police officers, especially the one that put his life on the line, are heroes 👏 🙌 ❤❤👏👍👍🙌

They held that poor boy so tight while he cried; you know this wasn’t an easy one, but those officers did a DAMN GOOD JOB saving him.
  • @syzygyfarm
"Don't touch him." "I gotta get him. I gotta get him." You could hear the compassion. Not even a hint of fear. Bold and brave. That's a hero.

That cop didnt take any longer than 5seconds to think and decided his life was worth risking for this young boy. I got nothing but respect for this officer.

These officers were awarded Medals of Valor this week for their efforts in saving this child’s life. Very deserved

No one is talking about the officer to his left who said "I'll go with you " and went in with no hesitation. Bravo

That little boy's screams broke my tender mama heart. These officers are heroes.
  • As a firefighter, I respect these officers SO much. I don't know many people who would've taken this massive risk. This is what heroes are.

This happened in 2022, the boy survived and the officer recieved a medal of valor for his heroism. Edit: both the officers got medals. No idea what happened entirely but the boy grabbed a downed electrical line and that's when he's found in the middle of the road. Haven't seen an update since.

The fact that they sat with him in the back seat instead of waiting for the ambulance warms my heart. We need cops like these to be leading the force.
  • @Werkvuur
Man, those few seconds he's standing there looking at that horrible situation. Followed by that deep sigh and then just deciding "I gotta get him." Can't be easy. Respect!
  • Officers like this perform over 20 million acts of kindness every year. They are heroes!

As an electrician , what that cop did took unbelievable courage. Bravo.

As horrible as those screams of extreme fear and pain sound... I bet that sounded like music to the officer's ears. The fact he is alert enough to scream and cry had to be SUCH a relief. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it also broke their hearts to be comforting a child that small with such serious injuries. 💔 His tiny, horribly burned hands are terrible to look at.
