The one where the girl challenges him to not talk for 24 hours is actually pretty sad considering the implication from the note the boyfriend got is that the girl committed suicide, not just randomly died. I assume the one about the kid sitting by himself with no friends was implying the same thing, that with friends he wouldn't have committed suicide or done something otherwise dangerous.

That scarf story terrified me, It was called “The Green Ribbon,” actually. It’s an old tale but you probably read it in the book “In a Dark, Dark Room & Other Scary Stories,” just like I did… pretty sure it’s part of a series of collections, they’re badass! Thanks for reminding me of these books!🤘🏽

I read that book, Danny!!!! In my recollection, she was a little girl who revealed it to her friend while they were on a swing set. It was one of my favorite stories when I was a child and so I passed it down to my daughter from my memory. I don't have the actual book, anymore, and I could have remembered the details of the story wrongly, but I am so excited that you know essentially the same story!!!!
