You are the best psychologist/therapist and teacher I have ever come across in my entire life. Thank you for everything; for saving lives ā¤ļøšŸ™šŸ¼
  • My mother was what I call "the ultimate realist." Maybe that's why she lived to one hundred and a half. She accepted reality instead of denying it.
  • Sometimes that's all I repeat in my head; I'm stressed out, I'm frustrated, I'm angry, I'm depressed, I'm unhappy, my meds aren't working again. TY for these.

Wow hearing the wisdom you share especially in this video my heart is filled with gratitude and peace thank you so much!!!
  • happiness is not a need, it can only be found from within, not externally or through others
  • I really enjoy your videos. You have helped me in so many ways. And these videos make it easy for me to change myself for the best.
  • Thank you for speaking on the subject I have been struggling with. How to focus on therapy and recovery while using those lessons learned and experience gained in real life scenarios. You helped me to see the whole picture and understand recovery and what to expect and acceptance of the process as it is. God bless you and your family

Hello Dr.Snipes. I want to thank you so much for all the content you produce but especially this video! I am in the beginning stages of recovering from my Binge Eating Disorder and its so incredibly helpful to hear these tips and be less hard on myself as a whole. Every point you make is just a huge hit on the nail and it's so easy and clear to see how harsh my line of thinking is when it comes to my progress. I can't express how much clarity you provided, I will keep this video downloaded so when I have a difficult time...I can have a listen and recalibrate myself. I know it will help me immensely during my journey to getting healthier both physically and mentally. <3 Best of luck to everyone on their journey to recovery!

I absolutely adore your videos and have benefited enormously from so many of your videos and they are so informative and it's the same time although maybe not intended to be there validating to somebody who's suffering from five different mental disorders plus his history of tourette's, a number a physical illnesses and conditions and very acute pain,, and besides all the useful information that helps me to guide my path to d recovery with the help of others and of God,, ...m Nonetheless I do want to respect Elise respectfully rather, could you please please stop saying quote" your rich and meaningful life ". I find it very unhelpful in the midst of intense suffering Could you please next time just say the life you want. Thank you, doc Snipes for all you do and for your caring. You. Are a blessing.

Oh gosh . So useful as always. Actually I'm over right now. I don't even like think about any type of regression or be anxious or depressed again . I got a stage when I had fed up of this stuff . Actually I'm dealing with impact of therapy and attachment with my therapist . I have found me too much thinking about therapy. I think is the best idea just let it go and start a new story of life . Eventually is the great to put everything into journal . Love from Ireland šŸ’š
  • Definitely agree cognitive distortion can facilitate impaired decision-making. For instance when I set my mind on accomplishing something it's like "tunnel vision" & neglect certain aspects or steps required along the way. Focused on the end goal rather than the process. I'm very sensitive to detail. Hope all is well with You & Yours. šŸ™šŸ¼
  • My swollen foot has improved maybe thats what stressed me out I cannot control the break outs or the flare up so I do my treatment to get back to peacefulness and minimize overworking my body to heal my discomfort. I just need to relax and rest my body. Chillout.
  • Every time I try to change my life ( and I really want to), my body says NO. But the way I live is also not good for me. I fear change and to let go.
