The Marvel Cinematic Universe is populated with some of the most gifted actors working today and when you have that much talent crammed together, it’s no wonder that things turned out so well. A huge reason why the MCU has been so successful is because of its memorable moments. But do you realize just how many of your favorite MCU moments are improvised by the actors themselves? We guess it’s just a side effect of the actors knowing their characters so well that they can improvise lines that Marvel executives end up loving and keeping in the movie.
It’s well-known that Robert Downey Jr. is notorious for improvising lines and moments that end up working their way into the final film, from small moments like hugging Peter Parker to big moments like the I Am Iron Man line from the first Iron Man movie. But that doesn’t mean the other actors are slouching either. From Drax’s Why is Gamora Line to Peter Parker’s Death Scene, to a surprising Killmonger quote, all of them and more were improvised by the actors on set.
Today’s video is all about the biggest improvised lines in the MCU so go ahead and check out the video below to find out which of your favorite MCU lines came completely off the cuff! After you’re done, be sure to leave a comment telling us what your favorite improvised moment was and while you’re at it, be sure to hit that subscribe button for more awesome MCU content.

Script: exists RDJ: Okay, good news, we won't be needing this!
-
RDJ is iron man. Stan Lee said as much. Said he was perfect and exactly what he imagined. Imagine that kind of praise. Even RDJ's improv is spot on. Stan knew talent gold when he saw it.
-
Personal favorite, Hawkeye- "nothing makes sense, the city is floating and were fighting robots and I have a bow and arrow"
-
The BEST one was missed out 'doth mother know you weareth her drapes" - RDJ killed that
-
i’m sorry but the line “why is gamora?” is gold 😺
-
My favorite quote from Mavle is:"I HAVE BEEN FALLING FOR 30 MINUTES!"
-
“Please be a secret door, please be a secret door!” opens secret door “yay!” 😂
-
Ragnarok, after Hulk slams Thor..... Loki: "YES, THAT'S HOW IT FEELS!!!....I'm such a huge fan"
-
Sadly a great one that was missed was the thor ragnorak scene where thor gives the story of the snake
-
I hate it when videos talk about improvised scenes and then don't show them.
-
I’m old, so I remember back when RDJ’s addiction almost ruined his whole career. His comeback and success since then has always made me so proud, as if I know him personally. To think that there was a possible universe where RDJ wasn’t Iron Man... what a tragedy for us all that would have been.

"I'm backup," "No, you're a stowaway, the adults are talking."
-
"Was the coat rack truly worthy?" A coat rack devotes its entire life to standing quietly and always being there for you when it's needed, never letting you down, always putting your needs before its own. I ask you instead, are you worthy of your coat rack?
-
This vid would have been better with the actual lines not someone quoting the whole time.
-
No, no, give me that; you have the little one. - Thor to Captain America
-
Hands down my favorite line. "I HAVE BEEN FALLING FOR 30 MINUTES!!" LOKI
-
My favorite is when Thor narrated about him and Loki's childhood story. This one. "He transformed himself into a snake and he knows that I like snakes so I picked up the snake to admire it then he transformed himself back and was like "EYA! IT'S ME" and stabbed me, we were like 8, at that time"
-
I love Robert Downey Jr’s performances as Tony Stark, he absolutely nails it and makes the character of Iron Man his own. I can’t imagine anyone else as Iron Man.

"Best MCU Improve Moments": All of RDJ's screen time All of Thor: Ragnarok

The reason I love "get help" so much is bc it really show cases that Thor and Loki are brothers. Siblings often have inside jokes or made up words/insults that only they know abt, and in most movies we think of Loki as Thors crazy villain brother, not just Thors brother. "Get help" was not only funny, but for me slightly heart warming. And honestly, the whole Ragnarok movie was good at showing that Brother love that we don't get to see much between Thor and Loki.
