Volkswagen should so have made this car. A VW supercar would have been immense, especially considering how VW showed their ability when they engineered the Veyron. The Nardo was tested at the Nardo circuit in Italy and hit 217 mph, btw.

Dude, this car was made nearly 10 years ago now! That's a fairly long time. It looks completely modern now so just imagine what it must've looked like when the W12 Syncro was shown to the public back in 1997!
