Very informative video. I will put it to good use next time I'm able to go to Japan :) The production quality seems to go up with every video too. Very epic as always, Remus.
  • I'm using Pimsleur right now and it's reaching a point where I should probably know these to supplement what it is teaching me. Thanks for the information! I enjoyed the format and the timestamps!

I remember watching a video of yours a couple weeks ago when you explained what “irashaimase” meant. I was playing yakuza 0 a few days later and an employee said it to me in the game and I thought “woah, I know what that means now”

I was so confused when I was buying alcohol from a konbini. I can’t quite remember exactly but I think she might’ve been asking for my ID or she was asking if I was over 18. I literally had no idea what she was asking but I figured it out because the screen with the items I was buying had a big 18 surrounded with red like a stop sign.

I have a friend who got a tattoo of the Japanese character of Owl that's 梟 or fukurou... I think you see where this is going. He accidentally got 袋 or fukuro I have no heart to tell him

I felt so embarrassed when I bought alcohol from a konbini. It took me like 30 seconds to realise they wanted me to click the button on the touch screen. Funnily enough I was only 19 at the time. But in Australia the drinking age is 18 so I didn’t realise.
