The guys that film these for us to watch - they are the real islands, mountains and magma in this story. Unfortunately their courage and passion never gets them a Nobel Prize for science. But we recognise them - honour them and thank them. They are the real champions of the world.

amazing how the water, air, earth, and fire come together to create something new
  • thank you so much for the cameraman and the staff bc made this documentary. Its so risky 😥
  • Just imagine, being lucky enough to be there at the right moment to witness hot molten lava spurge through the ocean water surface and solidify into a small infant piece of land, still soft and hot from boiling lava but slowing gaining strength to overcome the rough seas. This would become the foundation for beautiful ecosystems in the million years to come. Its kind of similar to witness a mother giving birth to a newborn babe.
  • A+ for the educational values that these videos give us all at the same time being entertaining.

2:30 okay but like, imagine if you're in ancient times, out on your boat, just trying to fish or whatever, and you see that crap happening, and of course you don't know what it is so you go home and you're like, "dudes i saw a fricking insert X monster from mythology and i nearly DIED"

And the birds flying over it accidently drops seeds to the virgin island. Few years later it will be like Hawaii.

Wow just wow... Mother nature is superior.. beautiful I can imagine how our land has taken birth on this planet
  • It was born from something destructivable. Even after the island was created. It still has to be challenged by the oceans to see if it really stand. Wow
