Thanks. Interesting. Im glad they got away. Smart bears running. They circled back on it too, to throw their scent. That Grizzly must like eating Bears. It ignores all of those Bison. It follows their scent trail Exactly. Eerie. Run Bears Run.

It was in Yellowstone - Lamar Valley area. We really wanted to know how it ended but they dropped behind the hill. I'm betting Mom and babies got away 🐻

this is law of nature, it is always the mom who is always ready to sacrifice oneself for the sake of her cubs, even to us human beings, mothers protect their babies at all cost even to the extent of giving their lives to it.

So don’t ever think you’re going out run a bear. They can run for so long it’s just amazing. They’re way faster than you would think.

Going up the hill, at one point, the « mom » did a good move, she started to move upwards in a zigzag! … which gives the party some time to “rest” (slow down the pace), while the male bear had to do the same things… as he was not chasing them on sight, but tracking them by smell.
