    Funny thing is, I was born and raised in Alabama, and only heard about the sauce at 40yrs old from a restaurant in Arkansas. I found out it's been around for years, but it is from Northern most part of Bama, not at all in the deep south where I grew up.

    Love your adaptation of our state’s recipe!!! The white sauce is pretty accurate, but most of the BBQ places in Alabama will season the chickens with just salt and pepper before cooking. Simple, but still tastes amazing with the white sauce
