When the lady started talking about how "food can be her best friend, or her boyfriend.." She is brave for admitting that. I hope she is able to get healthy.
  • YOU FREAKING BET THE WORLD NEEDS ANOTHER VIVIA. You're so sweet and kind and gentle and we need more of that in the world.

"Everybody ok no soda, but you get the sweet tea. -_- " -Yolanda This is me. She's so relatable.

I found myself tearing up when that lovely young lady was explaining how at times food could be her best friend, her boyfriend, a trip to the beach. 😢😭😢

After losing 110 pounds, I went back to eating a normal diet of ~2000 calories a day + exercise. My weight went up about 15 pounds in about a month and a half. It was then I realized this was not a diet. This is a lifelong commitment to my health, and I will do anything to keep the gains I have accomplished more than a year and a half ago.

When you hear about the COST of obesity and healthcare, remember...these costs are the PROFIT for a lot of companies. Obesity and ill health are a businessmodel.

Vivia (black woman in purple) is positively radiant and glowing. Her face is gorgeous, she would be such a knockout at a healthier weight. I hope she has had success on her weight loss journey💜

HBO SHOULD DO ANOTHER ONE FOR 2022.

I would love to get an update on Yolanda. Her comment about just cutting out the drinks was on point. Many people think that losing weight will be hard, they think of all the addictive food they eat right and don't want to give them up. But, like Yolanda said: "You just start small with small goals and that adds up".
  • Oh dear, my heart went out to Vivia. I hope one day she gets to go on her holiday to the beach. I wish her nothing but the best.

God, this is such a fantastic documentary. They don’t do dramatic re-enactments, just testimonials, stats and nutritional guidelines.
  • The Daly brothers really love each other. You would think diabetic brother would hold some resentment but he's just happy for his brother's health and using him as inspiration to get healthier himself. I sincerely hope he can change his life too. 25:42 how cute they were as kids!!

I watch this to keep up with my diet routine

Yolanda Neal (chef): She speaks the truth I have had so many people ask me how I'm losing weight. As soon as I tell them eating healthy foods (plant based diet), drinking water, and counting calories they tune out, their eyes glaze over, or they give me a look like I'm lying and not telling them the secret. Then when I say, I don't exercise, I get the side eye. They don't want to hear it because it's not a fad quick fix and the bottom line is they do not want to or are not ready to change their lifestyle choices. They want to lose weight overnight while continuing to eat the unhealthy food or junk food they love. I let it go and move one while thinking: You won't get the results you want by continuing to do what you want and what doesn't work...make a different choice. But then, you can't make a change until you are ready and only you know when you are really ready.

Most important fact to realize - you can not out exercise a poor diet - exercise is extremely important for cellular and mental benefits. Great for inflammation and your heart and lung capacity

Those two old ladies at the end are awesome. Full of life
  • @adopt-a-pet1968
How wonderful those ladies are in that office, encouraging each other, really great work environment, congrats!
  • @reoreilly36
Rhonda, Elana and Yolanda are just lovely. Love to hear them speak, they’re so vibrant!
  • The tons of bad advice these poor people have received over the years is depressing. I feel so bad for them.
