used to have the sunday night blues watching thisas a kid in the 90s and yes i never had my homework done, now im the teacher in my 30s having emigrated and get the exact same sunday night blues and i always still get that sick feeling on a sunday night from either not having my marking done or having nothing planned for monday....the more things change the more they stay the same as they say.

I'm 34. It's 6am. I'm in Istanbul. The call to prayer is ringing across the bosphorus and I'm drinking tea watching this.

School in the morning TV, no homework done and dreading getting in trouble. One of my school mates actually reminded me of Miley he had all his ways.
  • Glenroe was so much better than Fair City. Better actors, storylines, much funnier.

This is the show that is responsible for Irish folk here in England chuckling at my name 😂😂. One asked me if I was named after the show….. I should have been flattered as I pre date it by a couple of decades 🤔😜
  • Thank you. Very enjoyable episode - and so nice to see a Christmas episode of a soap without all the melodrama.
  • So lovely to watch.. its Christmas as it should be.. wonderful memories
  • If RTE sees this please consider showing re-runs of this timeless tv favourite, everyone grew up watching it. They are able to show re -runs of other rubbish over and over again, so why not glenroe?
  • Gather 'round ye lads and lasses, set ye for a while And harken to me mournful tale about the Emerald Isle Let's all raise our glasses high to friends and family gone And lift our voices in another Irish drinkin' song
